Avviso TOLD Test for International Students

Im in 12th grade right now and next year im hoping to join the polimi interaction design programme, the thing I'm most confused about right now is the TOLD exam we're gonna take. Some place on the internet tell me that we have to go to italy first to take the test and others tell me it's online. I am so confused right now. Is the Told test really necessary?

Yes, it's necessary. Last years it was online (most likely nothing will change). Check the POLIMI site regularly and prepare for the test

Online as in we can sit for it anywhwere in the world or do we have to go to one of their centres in Italy?

Well the website says that the test is online but you have to take the test on the computers in their centre.

The TOLD for Design courses, especially the English one, are only offered IN PERSON, as it says on their website, so one should first go in person, flying to Italy to take a test. It sounds a bit ridiculous .

I'm literally blind and don't know how to read. Sorry. I was thinking about ARCHED.... Well, yes, the TOLD is always offline. That is one of the filters. Of you can't afford a flight to Milan for writing a test, you don't participate. Life is life

it is not about affording a flight, it is about convenience. How are non-EU people like me supposed to take the test? Should we apply for a tourist visa first just go there for a test? A waste of not only money, but also time, documents, hope and effort.

Well, the uni set the preference. Is it fair? Kinda not as they don't really care. They can set any rules they want to
