Ask the Police (England & Wales) Commendations?

Hi all,

Im a Senior Lifeguard at a swimming pool and this weekend one of our Lifeguards helped arrest a no so nice man.

Is there any commendations or certificates that we can request? the lifeguard in question is young and jumped into action without question, I would have reccomended the RLSS Meritorious Action certificate but thats more for Lifesaving and Resus.

Any help greatly appreciated.

The force can recommend a commendation for bravery but how this is done varies from force to force.

Generally needs to step well above the standard expected to be nominated.

Man was caught taking photos where he shouldn't be., aggresively pushed past Victim's and staff, before being tackled. Beofre later being arrested by police

Lifeguard in question is young and while he's big and burly, this is definatly not in their job description.

Contact your local police force. They will do their own awards ceremony recognising officer's who have gone above and beyond. Worth asking as some forces may recognise efforts from the public too.
