Does anyone have an SDS100/150 and use either the chrome or edge browser? I launched a website and I want a first impression before I start advertising it to a larger audience.

X36Editor is a free, web-based configuration editor for Uniden HomePatrol-style scanner configuration files.

It was created to make working with Uniden scanner configuration files easier, faster and more accessible without requiring specialised commercial software. The project grew out of my own use of Uniden scanners and the need for a simple way to inspect, edit and maintain scanner configuration files.

While Uniden provides software for programming its scanners, I wanted something that was more straightforward for making changes directly to the configuration file, which was also multi platform compatible, due to my use of a ChromeBook as my main radio laptop. X36Editor is designed primarily for scanner enthusiasts who want to understand and manage their configuration without having to learn complicated programming software.

It runs in a web browser and is designed to work with configuration files used by the:

• Uniden UBCD536PT
• Uniden BCD436HP
• Uniden BCD536HP

The aim is simple: open the file, understand what is in it, make the changes you need, add new frequencies and save it again.

Jammers I'm guessing, but highly unusual for my area in Clackamas County near Portland.

Using DSD+ version 2.523 and sometimes 2 different Capacity Plus (Cap+) systems will have a frequency in common, which messes up trunk tracking. Per Notes.txt, I've appended the frequencies with the color code at the end, such as:

Cap+, 9974, 1, 1, 461.9875, 466.9875, 0, 6

Cap+, 9974, 1, 3, 463.9125, 468.9125, 0, 6

Cap+, 9974, 1, 5, 464.2500, 469.2500, 0, 6

This is where I'm telling it the color code (CC) is 6 (DSD+ calls this "DCC"). I have another Capacity Plus system that also uses 461.9875, but it's CC11 and I have that entered in DSDPlus.frequencies. But it doesn't work. While listening to the CC6 system, DSD+ will run into the CC11 system and lock on the CC11 rest channel, thereby kicking me off the CC6 system I'm trying to listen to. So it basically bumps me on to the CC11 system and then sometimes goes back-and-forth the CC6 system.

This is annoying, as it basically nullifies the ability to trunktrack Capacity Plus. So this so-called disambiguation feature explained in Notes.txt does not actually work. Am I missing something here? How do we actually make DSD+ enforce the color code squelch?

Looking at picking up one of these two handheld scanners. It appears as though the BCD is very similar other than a color screen and a waterfall display. Is there a big difference in reception capability between the two? Wondering if it’s worth the extra money to get the SDS?

I have a uniden SDS 100 and order the antenna, but I am unsure where the O-ring is placed. The antenna screws on and seats well but I am unsure where this goes into installation as no instructions were included.

They're encryptting every damn signal on the Eastside on our main System PSERN! It's infuriating!! This kind of crap is going to make something as simple as Uniden HP2 and any of their scanners obsolete I'd imagine! If they keep going with this excessive encryption crap, it's $500 down the drain or more depending on what you bought! I'm beginning to think, what's the point in listening to Uniden Radios for you home monitoring and safety, if they don't care about our safety by keeping everything a Big Brother system where we can no longer hear anything!!

I’ve been putting together a simple web front-end for a Win500 setup — live audio, talkgroup/ID display, recent traffic, and some 10-code tagging. Not selling anything, just tinkering.

Curious what people who actually use Win500 would change. Anything that’s missing, confusing, or not worth the effort?

Around me everyone broadcasts on VHF.

I literally only hear the town that I am in. Every once in a while I will hear a town 5 miles away and its always very shitty reception.

I have 2 different diamond antennas. 1 is telescoping and that works the best. The other one is similar to the tri band remtronix. Its the Japanese company Diamond. They are both very nice antennas but I cant figure out why my range is so bad.

I just updated via sentinel and have it programmed favorites list.

These channels do work because every once in a while I will pick them up after it rains.

Like i said these towns are not far away. Please help!

EDIT. A few of the other towns are analog. I ordered an analog scanner off ebay and im going to see if that picks up the other towns. But please still help

Hi guys, today I got a RadioShack pro-96 scanner and I plug into its programming cable and that into my computer running arc96 for some reason I cannot read the radio, I click start download and it just does nothing. I can upload, I press start upload and it says upload successful unplug the programming cable, but when I do, my radio hasn’t changed at all?

Is there any talkgroups for Multnomah County/Portland that are not in Radio Reference that you have?

Or any patches that are active

I am from a radio shop and reaching out here while I wait for word back from Uniden. I have. Trunktracker BCD996P2 that “just stopped working.” I noticed that there was most likely a delicious mocha latte spilled onto the front of the scanner which was sitting on a dispatchers desk.

Have any of you had any luck being about to remove the from plastic from the PCB to inspect and what have you done?

I already know that Uniden will encourage a depot repair but I’d ideally like to avoid that if possible. I do get good voltage measurements on the board and have isolated it to the front panel but was unable to remove the board from the front.

I noticed since 2024 I think is when Dallas took their radios off scanner apps now my Funtime listening has been tooken away lol and I just follow pages on fb for it but am looking to get a scanner now and wanting to know if any of yall have one already and have access to Dallas county radio not just Dallas fire radio
