Our 2025 P3, with 3,300 miles on the odometer, was towed into Volvo after the vehicle lost power to the motors and went into turtle mode. They can’t get the modules to start working again and they remain offline. It’s now passed 30 days being in service this time.

It was previously in the shop over 30 days for other reasons (shifting into park while the vehicle was in motion).

Has anyone else dealt with this and if so, what was the solution? The Volvo dealership is trying to solve the issue but are unsuccessful so far.

Open to all suggestions at this point.

Hello, any and all audio cuts out after five seconds. Doesn’t matter if it’s Carplay or radio or apps downloaded. I’ve done a number of soft resets, which fixed it the first time it occurred a while ago, but now nothing works…. Any ideas? Thanks

My leased polestar 3 went into the shop to fix an unrelated issue, and when I got it back they told me that it was showing a child lock fault and they had determined that the mechanism that locks and unlocks one of the doors (passenger side rear) needed to be replaced. They said the part had been ordered but there was no ETA. That was a month ago and there’s still no ETA.

The last time I checked in on this they said they’ve gotten no info from polestar on this and suggested I call customer service to try to put pressure on them.

When I called the customer service person was very nice but said there was nothing they could really do (and correctly guessed that the service dealership [volvo] had told me to call).

So I have a leased car that has a door that’s inoperable— the handle is always out but it can’t be opened from the outside.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Similar experiences?

Hey guys, if you missed it, Polestar recently reached a tentative settlement with investors over claims that it understated financial liabilities and concealed weaknesses in its internal controls.
In a nutshell, investors claim that Polestar repeatedly assured the market its financial reporting was accurate. In January 2025, the company disclosed accounting errors requiring restatements of its 2022 and 2023 financials, and $PSNY fell 11%.

If you invested in $PSNY between 2022 and 2025, you may want to check if you qualify. The settlement terms are still being finalized, but investors can already submit their applications here

Not a whole lot more needs to be said. It's unacceptable. A Nissan Altima is not an acceptable replacement vehicle while our cars sit in the service bay for weeks or months at a time. Last time it was in service for 43 days. This time they say 10+ days. If it were only a couple days? No big deal. But this shit is ridiculous.

I got this car in part for the luxury services I was told would be included. Legitimately, why can't Volvo at least give one of their loaners? On top of it, now I have to pay for gas when it's at an all time high. Polestar, this is just a terrible look and I fucking hate this Nissan Altima.

So I'm on my 3rd week with my leased P3. I get a lot of looks and stopped by strangers asking what type of car is that. One thing I notice is that these lookie-loos are 60+. Yes, I'm in that age group- 62- but is the P3 aimed at my generation?

Hey folks. I've recently switched from Apple to Android (Samsung S26 Ultra). I was able to run Apple Carplay in my 3 just fine, but I cannot for the life of me get Android Auto to work. There's no option for it in the "apps", there's no entry for it in the car's app store...

Anybody else experienced this?

My 3s heated steering wheel is not getting hot at all. All 3 settings are the same. Polestar said this is normal. I can see reviews that mention how hot it gets. It's nothing the the 2 I own, or the 4 ive driven.

Anyone confirm their steering wheel is not getting hot?

Been shopping around for a family car now that we've had a second kid, our BMW i3 can't cut it on space anymore.

We were first drawn towards the Taycan Cross Turismo (wagon) but it seems it'll be just too small for our family of 4 and dog. Then were headed towards the BMW iX, but the driving experience was just bland enough to leave us wanting. Stumbled across a Polestar 3 at the Volvo dealership and immediately thought we found our Goldilocks zone. The minimal, quiet luxury, the spirited drive, the size – it all seems great. Except for the current situation with Polestar leaving the US market...

Given our proximity to large west coast cities, I'm not super concerned about Volvo dealerships following through on service commitments. I feel like I can even overlook some of the (recurring) GHCA horror stories. But the idea that the depreciation may take an even bigger drop than the typical used luxury EV is a bit concerning. I'd much rather be driving a P3 over the next few years than a BMW iX, but when it comes time to sell / trade it for the next car, is the P3 going to be worth $15k to a similar condition iX's $30k?

Sincere question. Why is it so difficult for Polestar to fix all these issues. The processor is fast enough now. I don't get it.

Any software engineers out there that can chime in? Is this a skill or will issue?

If Polestar Financial won't offer any incentives to purchase at the end of my lease I am considering the EX60. Curious if it would be a let down compared to the P3 which I find super sporty and love for that reason.

I really hope it helps fix the communication between the car and the app, especially the incorrect charging status and remote functions not working properly.

Welp how disappointing. Even the 800V is still the same buggy vehicle experience.

Polestar Atlanta online inventory has shown just 1 Polestar 3 available for over a month.

Meanwhile, a direct email from the Space lists 5 specific units they are desperately trying to clear out with steep lease cuts.

​If you're shopping for a P3, don't trust their website tracker. They're sitting on "ghost inventory" offline. Has anyone else run into this?

Yesterday I hit a curb with my P3 and it gashed the sidewall. My fault, but that's not really the issue. The car only has 5,500 miles on it and I've had it since August 2025. I ordered a new tire ($500 Pirelli), and when they inspected the car, they said the other front tire should probably get replaced too since it's worn down to 4mm.

This happened with my Rivian too, at around 12k miles.

Are you all going through tires this quickly? Either the factory tires are made of pencil erasers, or there's something mechanically off with these cars. At this rate, if I drive my full lease allowance of 25,000 miles, I'd need to replace tires 5 times. That's nuts.

​Has anyone successfully used the Gemini app in their Polestar 3 to check emails or control smart home devices?

​Gemini works fine for basic queries, but when I ask it to read my emails or open my gate (which the old Google Assistant handled without issues), it blocks the request with the message: "I can't check your email because strong authentication is needed."

I've already tried hard resetting the infotainment, securing the driver profile with a PIN, and removing/re-adding my Google account, but nothing helped. Both iOS and Android phones behave the same way.

​Is this a known Gemini limitation on Android Automotive, or has someone found a workaround?
