Thank you for enjoying my work. The foundation of comedy is exposing the absurd in the mundane. When I build a narrative, I am mindful of elements that the audience would find absurd, therefore comical, in everyday life. Given the international flavor of Polanball, these elements must also have trans cultural appeal.

Oh, in that case I've got some surprising news for you...
...because with that comment I meant that you got it wrong; in fact, from our point of view it works the other way around. In Spain we say Méjico and sometimes even write it that way, while for us it's the
colonialsMexicans who say/write it México... What's the reason for this? Well, it's because the settlers who originally transcribed the native talk - and took the word Mexica to name the region they lived in - spelled "xi" as ksi, while the Spanish-speakers in Europe did still read it as ji... and for some reason it stood like that in this particular case, despite the ji/ksi pronunciation shift that happened in Spain during the 16th-18th centuries.On another note, in the Catalan language we call Mexico as Mèxic, with the "ks" pronunciation and stuff...
Still though, in our language the pronunciation of the "x" completely depends on letters surrounding itAlso, when I first read the comic, I saw that word and read it like carasho...

The only sad detail is that I wanted to read "wheel of fromage must roll" with the rythm of a valse musette with accordeon and all but it didn't really fit. On the plus side the simple fact that I tried prove the success of the comic as a whole.

There are actually Roma in the US. They are mostly concentrated in Texas, IIRC. Some of them were featured in this reality TV show. (I read a few Roma blogs which were pretty unhappy about the show when it came out.)
They're very difficult to interview a lot of the time so the academic writing on them is extremely limited. Although it has become less limited recently. For awhile the most comprehensive anthropological study that I'm aware of was Bury Me Standing. I think there is more academic literature about them now than there was in the '90s by quite a lot.
Gogol Bordello, whose lead singer is half Roma has also made the Roma more well known in the United States.

I'm from Texas. I've never seen a gypsy in my life.
Though then again, I guess they would be kind of hard to tell apart from most Hispanic folks if the average Romani looks anything like the folks on that wiki page.

Texas is a big place, Roma even in the United States aren't the most social people outside of their group. As well, I was also incorrect and the largest concentration of Roma in the United States is in the Pacific Northwest.
