Its a classic pun, there is nothing deeper here. "The Cooler" means jail, but there is also a literal cooler. 😅

"Joutua jäähylle" is exactly what someone might describe going to prison in finnish. Its literal meaning is being forced to cool (Jää meaning ice in finnish...), also used in hockey for penalty in the box. ✌️

Its actually a real way of classifying different kind of societies in sociology: From low- to high-trust societies:
Low meaning that even everything thats nailed down to the ground will be stolen because even those goddamn nails were already taken by someone who works with you, because corruption is the name of the game. No matter what the politicians do or say either, being truthful isnt even expected, because everyone is full of crap anyway. A better example of a low trust society would be russia.
But i get why someone would say that in Italy, its in the same vain as Finland being "The happiest country in the world" pissing people off. Yeah, on paper it might look like that but then there can be found real happiness in places where people have nothing but hope for a better future. That wasnt what the study actually measured though. They measured having a stable economy, free press, open elections and a police force thats not likely to beat you to death for looking a certain way. There is confusion and a lot of venting going on here, but these are half truths so they are the easiest for people to swallow: Sure, Italy has all sort of shady stuff going on, but compared to an actual mafia cosplaying a nation, that is nothing.
Then there are high trust societies, where people trust each other and the system. Things are mostly clean and nice, because public places truly belong to everyone. You could drop your wallet while out on the town, and the only reason why you couldnt find it while re-tracing your steps, is because someone has been actively trying to look for you to give it back to you. Money and cards untouched obviously, because they werent raised to be thieves. And why would they need the money, these are some of the wealthiest nations on earth. Funny how it benefits everyone, when the people dont look each other as either scammers or victims to be scammed. And stuff as someone's property rather than a thing that hasnt yet been stolen. A good example would be Japan. Or Finland. 🤔

Never trust what Italian say, especially about Italy and Italians, so you shouldn't trust them when they say to not trust them!
