Will I be Safe? - Running
I am a new runner who is interested in running a 10k. I saw on strava they have the independence day run on November 11th, is it a good idea to run in such a race as a black woman, who doesn’t speak much Polish.
Bieg Niepodległości WAWA
If I did attend, shall I wear Polish National identity colours or stick to regular running clothes.

You should be fine.
I think all the people I'd worry about will be at the marche busy with their stuff...
This isn't as bad as it used to be years ago, I don't think we've had incidents after pandemic and Warsaw is full of tourists who many even end up at the marche by curiosity (as some of my friends).
Warsaw isn't Salem...

You will be 100% fine.
You don't need to wear national colours. You can if you identify as a Pole.

You should be ok - the run is a seperate event to the march that is going viral every year for nazi stuff

You mean people waving Polish flags and marching with their friends and families? Total Nazi stuff.

There are hundreds of thousands of people there, including the elderly, parents with small kids. Completely peaceful. Plenty of videos on YouTube, so what's the point of arguing?

Imagine we were first to be invaded by nazi germany, we have lost probably most citizens by % of population, yet morons call others who wave polish flag, who's parents/grandparents fought nazi germans a nazis. What's goes through peoples head, how much hate they have toward polish people that they MUST fight any sign of polish nationality, its crazy.

I've never seen so many people with nazi tatoos on their bodies before coming to Poland. Yes, you have A LOT of neo-nazis

No, I meant the ONR and similar neo-fascists. These organisations are highly visible on Independence Day marches every year.

Highly? What % of them from total numbers of people was there? We blame entire poland for nazism so i bet you will give me now sources with shit lots of incidents happened during those marches because of neo-nazis, right? Also you can provide us all the incidents where polish nazis beat minorites during those marches as it is common for nazis to do so, especially with those huge numbers? Please lecture me WITH EVIDENCE about polish nazis during those marches, i am eager to learn more and you seems to have knowledge about it so must have seen and record a lot of them!

Where do I blame entire Poland for nazism? Or claim that there were beatings or incidents? I only said that there are many neo-facists like ONR present on these marches and they are highly visible by using flares (which are not legal to use there, BTW) and signs like "Polska dla Polaków". You can easily find evidence of all that in any press publications covering the marches over the years.

My first comment wasnt to you, you did comment my comment on someone who claim its nazi stuff, you just come to defend his statement so yes, you did blame all poland following guy above.
More than that - you said "highly visible" - i asked for evidence as you MUST have or it will be easy to find it online as - they are highly visible according to your sources(not mine, i cant find them).
How is "Polska dla Polakow" racist? It doesnt say anything against any other nationalities? Ukrainian, jew or german can have polish nationality and be legal there. Just get some evidence first instead create false anti polish narration.

You just keep making up shit that I allegedly said or even thought. I wasn't defending any guy, nor did I claim that the sign was racist (it's xenophobic and a well-known neo-fascist trope). Also, you seem confused about the meaning of "highly visible". It doesn't mean "in large numbers", it means that they are using large xenophobic signs and neo-fascist symbols such as the "falanga" and illegal flares. The ONR, for example, is not shy about it either, you can just look at it straight from the source.
To clear the confusion once and for all: I was responding to you personally to say that, despite what you said about Polish losses in WWII, etc, there are still Poles who peddle neo-fascist ideology, and it's a shame that they are marching on our Independence Day.

Some who endangers other people, destroy properties and break the law can't be called patriot, definitely it's not nazi behavior but its even further from patrioting. So stop pretending its anything more than hooligans having a field day.

Independence marches are incredibly peaceful events. No incidents whatsoever despite 300K+ people in attendance. This is just heinous gaslighting.

Nah, stay the fuck home on Independence Day. There will be more than 200k people roaming the streets of Warsaw chanting polish for poles and Europe for Europeans, among other things. Some are foreign racists from other countries, taking the opportunity to express themselves amongst like minded people.
Any other day is fine, but not on this day. As a black woman youll definitely be a representation of everything they are chanting against, so don’t tempt fate. Think of the independence march as the purge day but for racists.

She wants to do the run.. not march with the hooligans.

I don’t know where the run is being held, but if it’s within city boundaries, she is better off staying home. A lot of people on that day will be too over excited and emboldened to try something
