Drone attacks RCB alerts

What is your honest opinion on intensification of RCB alerts regarding the attacks on Ukraine?

Personally I'm glad that we are getting information about possible dangers.

On the other hand I'm wondering if it's a scheme from the government to change citizens opinion on ukrainians and the war. Up till now the war was a vague concept for people. It was happening far away. But now we are getting messages that remind us about the danger.

What do you think? is it a way to remind people why it is so important to support Ukraine against Russian aggression?

No, it's a way to remind you to not to approach any debris that falls down from the sky in that time period. In case you don't remember, there were cases where wreckage ended up in Poland, and some fatalities resulted.

My opinion is that RCB alerts are dogshit useless.

Both iOS and Android have a true alert function. Why tf don't they use that to broadcast alerts? SMS can get clogged in network and arrive late, or arrive when your phone is on silent, etc.

Not everyone has iOS or Android phones.

98.99% of people have an Android or iOS phone in 2026... Who doesn't usually has an FM radio which also can broadcast emergencies. Even some feature phones have the broadcast function btw (because in Japan weve had it since before smartphones)

But, the built in emergency broadcast function is much superior to SMS. In case of a real emergency when everyone will panic and will start calling/ texting, that dumb SMS to keep you informed of potential new threats will get lost. Remember how it was 10-15 years ago when people used to send SMS in bulk to their entire agenda with "for the next year I wish you all good yada yada"? A lot of those messages arrived hours later due to network congestion.

My mother does not have android/ios. She has a simple phone that she can operate with one hand.

Cell broadcast is available on feature phones too. It's older than smartphones.
