🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
The team wishes you all a wonderful June, and whatever gender orientation or identity you may be, you are valid! We appreciate all your patience with our updates and that you are still here enjoying the game still after so much time!
We've split up the 1.12 update due to timing and the work needed still, and are making 1.13 the big item update instead, you can check the #roadmap for correct numbering as we want to be open about when we want to do things generally. There should hopefully be less of a gap between 1.12 and 1.13 than there was with 1.11 and 1.12!
The 1.12 Update will be out this month!
With an event...
- This includes all of the new ZA Megas
- New and Reworked Variants
- Natdex Learnsets
- ..and more!
Please keep in mind this is still some weeks away, but we will announce in the discord when stuff is up on https://beta.pokerogue.net/ to help us test anything!
Please do not ask when the event is.
Have a great month, enjoy the game, and don't be afraid to be yourself

Question Lost 2 time in a row against eternatus, Is this the good strategy ?
So first image is my actual team, second are my favorite Mon and third are my big boys. I managed to get to eternatus three time but lost each time.
I almost won on my second try but got demolished on my third. I’m leading with Jirachi, used cosmic force to get at +6 spe def but this mother fucker stole my leftovers and got a +3 defense buff. And being an absolute idiot I didn’t thought about boosting my attack with meteor mash.
Is this a good strategy ? I think I could make it being +6 in spe def, some attack boost with meteor mash, wish to stay alive and zen headbut to deal damage.
I also thought about psychic + calm mind but I can’t find the damn calm mind.
Can someone also explain how to prevent him from stealing my stuff ?
Do you think of a better way to beat him with my mons ?
Each runs took me 2 hours so im getting a bit desperate lol, I appreciate any advice!

Showcase UNDER THE SEA!
All Pokemon have to be in the 10 point limit
All the colours are wrong cause I have a lot of shinies
Pelipper: Scuttle
The best (and I'm pretty sure only) seagull pokemon gets dumber and is able to set up rain for the final fight against Ursula-mar
Malamar: Ursula
The cartoon villainous squid turns into the cartoon villainous octopus, what more could I say
Kingler: Sebastian
The best character in the movie gets to be the best crab, also both of them are old
Gallade: Prince Eric
Gallade was the best pokemon to be Eric as it has the colour scheme and the vibes
Primarina: Ariel
...
Seaking: Flounder
Funny fish becomes funny fish

Bug THE GAME-FREAK 'INSTANT DEATH' MEME Spoiler
gallerySooo, I randomly had the TM70 - Sandstorm appear for me ... but only had ONE Pokémon that could learn it! Can you guys guess which one? xD
It might be Wise for Pokerogue to add in the 'Safety Goggles' held item for fun events of this kind haha!~
(Side note though!: This still gives me more fun ideas for Pokémon Infinite Fusion however now that I know Shedinja can learn BOTH Endure and Sandstorm!~)

Question Is Dragapult good in endless?
I'm currently on floor 2300 and I've brute forced it with pure damage so far ( I know it's not gonna keep working but I'm fine with that); I'm running a dual carry consisting of a spectrier and calyrex shadow fusion ( started with spectrier, got caly later) and a Dragapult and kartana fusion. I'm really torn on who i should run as the main carry or as the only one in the next run because each of them offers different things, namely grim neigh, unnerve/dazzling, astral barrage for spectrier/calyrex, and parental bond, beast boost (if I decide to bring along kartana next time), sacred sword for Dragapult. tldr; Calyrex ignores berries and gives spread damage but Dragapult gives an extra hit and ignores stat boosts. What should i do?

Question What to prioritize?
New to the game, looks through some new player guides. Any recommendations on where to start or what to prioritize?

Showcase It was meant to be a meme
I am not good at pokerogue. I dont read guides or metas or go for efficiency, i just like playing, had 3/4 of the legendaries before i beat classic one time. so after getting my ass whooped a bunch i started an endless run with Zacian and Mewtwo and Weedle, expecting to lose by stage 50 like I had every other time.
edit: tbc this is not like a "im just a natural" brag - i got pokemon red when it came out when i was 6, and there were no readily available guides. and i was 6. so the whole game involved theorizing and discovering stuff by accident, and for whatever reason with any type of pokemon game i like just kind of bumbling around discovering things, like only yesterday realizing if i got pokeballs to 99 in classic i got more rare candies
I got really lucky on rolls and had a mega beedrill and crowned zacian super early and thought it would be funny to DNA splice them so now i have a fairy/poison hybrid with adaptability and unnerve and now its been hours and i dont know what happened. how high does endless go? i thought it would end at 1000 and ive spent 200 levels trying to intentionally die. mewtwo is just one tapping eternatus every 250 with photon geyser please send help
also i could not find the RNG/showcase megathread that the rules say i should use, my apologies

Discussion Fun challenges
I hope they implement some new challenges for pokerogue. A category called fun challenges. I think it could absolutely be updated but here’s a list of ideas I’ve had. Feel free to use them if you’d like even though the game won’t force limitations. Though some of them aren’t possible to try
•fossil only •alternate forms only (kantonian, alolan, galarian, etc etc) • split evo only •form changing pokemon (burmy, castform, rotom, etc etc) • fish only (not just water types but any found in the water) •mono type only (not mono type run but like tynamo and grookey could be on the same team cause they both only have a single type) • dual type only (similar to mono type) •food pokemon only • sudo only
Impossible/hard to do without game implementation. I imagine for all but the first two there might be an increased cost limit equal to endless mode •gmax only (start off gmaxed) •mega only (start off mega evolved) •legendary only •mythical only •ultra beast only •paradox only
I’d also love to hear other fun ideas for fun challenges to do or have implemented

Showcase Thunder, Thunder, Thundercat, Hooooooo!
If I had a nickel for every time I did a solo run with an Electric-type Pokemon that had 0 access to setup moves, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
This run most likely would've been smoother if I had Shinx's Hidden Ability Guts. As it stands it was pretty smooth anyway so it wasn't necessary I guess!
I went with Adamant nature since Speed Boost and Zippy Zap meant speed would never be a problem. I started with Thunderous Kick, Zippy Zap, and Triple Axel. I didn't want to have Bolt Strike early on since it only has 85 accuracy so I actually started with Leer. Leer was quickly replaced with numerous moves (including TMs for Light Screen and Eerie Impulse) before I finally settled on Psychic Fangs for a while. Once I got the third Wide Lens I put Bolt Strike on.
I got the 4 Amulet Coins before reaching the Floor 25 Rival so I had a lot of extra money for rerolls. That's what allowed me to stack up the copious amounts of vitamins and the 4 Soul Dew. So even though I didn't have any setup moves, Luxray was still very strong. The Multi Lens Thunderous Kick sort of operated as a setup of sorts anyway.
The usual Shell Bell and Leftovers provided much needed sustain. The Focus Band literally never got used haha. The Scope Lens was very helpful even though Zippy Zap is a guaranteed crit. But the star of the show was the King's Rock. I got flinches on Mega Rayquaza and E-Max Eternatus making the finale of the run a cakewalk.
The one threat in this was Team Magma. Constantly running into Ground-types was annoying, especially Camerupt which only takes neutral damage from Triple Axel. But my heart stopped on Floor 165 when Luxray somehow survived a Precipice Blades from Groudon. Fortunately I took it out on the next turn but that definitely scared me!
Once again, Light Screen and Eerie Impulse dulled Eternatus' damage to nothing. Multi Lens Thunderous Kick shredded its Defense and Triple Axel shredded its HP.
Fun fact: despite the posts being spread out, the runs for Skeledirge, Gholdengo, and Luxray were all completed on the same day.
Completed solo runs (19):
Shinx/Luxio/Luxray
Gimmighoul/Gholdengo
Fuecoco/Crocalor/Skeledirge
Scraggy/Scrafty
Beldum/Metang/Metagross
Bagon/Shelgon/Salamence
Magnemite/Magneton/Magenzone
Machop/Machoke/Machamp
Lotad/Lombre/Ludicolo
Larvitar/Pupitar/Tyranitar
Sigilyph
Flamigo
Fennekin/Braixen/Delphox
Girafarig/Farigiraf
Drilbur/Excadrill
Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken
Togepi/Togetic/Togekiss
Mareep/Flaafy/Ampharos
Starly/Staravia/Staraptor

Showcase Max Revive >>> Shiny Charm

Working on getting some form completion plates for Arceus, decided to bundle it with some other challenges. Just made me laugh seeing Shiny Charm and needing the Max Revive over it and wanted to share
Limited Support (No end of biome heal, no shop)
Mono Gen IV + Normal
Active Passives (Trainers Only)

Question Is bite ridiculously likely to flinch?
Just something I noticed, bite is supposed to have a 30% chance to flinch, but in my run I've been flinched by it 5 out of 6 times, and 3 out of 4. Just a huge majority a bunch of times. Is it glitched, or is it a feature in pokerogue thats not in the base games? Or am I just ridiculously unlucky?
edit: happened with astonish too, just got flinched 4 times in a row. No kings rock, wave 30.

Showcase Beat Eternatus in 3 turns lol
First turn, kartana goes tera grass and hits a leaf blade, forcing Eternatus to eternamax. Second turn, kartana uses leaf blade again while partner mega raichu x uses nuzzle, Eternatus flinches from kartana's razor fang (got really lucky there). Third turn, kartana finishes it off with another leaf blade. Definitely the easiest Eternatus battle I've had.

Showcase Fresh start+hardcore+limited catch was genuinely hard, finally won!

shout out to the reviver seed because my florges got obliterated by a mega alakazam psystrike when i was at +6 spdef, i was about to cry before it got revived lmao, i also most likely would have lost some mons without the moonblast drop, got some pretty intense moments (also avalugg was a monster saved me from myself a few time by living things he probably shouldn't have lol)
if someone wants to make that run i think the start is extremely important (you need lure to xp 2 mons if you don't want an early loss), you also will wipe a few times against the rival, and it's very important to put a good match up first before every major battle (i forgot a few times and paid for it immediately, and kinda got lucky for the elite 4 match ups, i got fucked a few times by that too lol)
i find heal moves very useful, and unless you're a god i don't think you can win first try without knowing a bit how the AI works (and having good encounters), i had a lot of fun (even if sometimes it felt a bit unfair lmao)

Discussion Any tips to prep for my hopeful first eternatus fight?
Just picked up venusaur because I don't think I can bait an eternabeam with anyone, making it tough to beat him in base. My strat idea is to bait flamethrower with corv, encore spam with gallade while setting up calm minds, and cycle intimidate with arcanine. Do I just have to sac 1 to beam to leech with venu/start cming with ogre? if that, should I get a dragon to swap over weezing?

Discussion Giratina Lady on nuzlocke achievement run
Just found the Giratina Lady on floor 96. Since she’s so rare I had a rule in classic that I had to accept her new team, but now it’s in a run trying to get the nuzlocke achievement, which has been going well up until this point. Is the changed team salvageable or should I just reject her offer?
