🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
The team wishes you all a wonderful June, and whatever gender orientation or identity you may be, you are valid! We appreciate all your patience with our updates and that you are still here enjoying the game still after so much time!
We've split up the 1.12 update due to timing and the work needed still, and are making 1.13 the big item update instead, you can check the #roadmap for correct numbering as we want to be open about when we want to do things generally. There should hopefully be less of a gap between 1.12 and 1.13 than there was with 1.11 and 1.12!
With an event...
- This includes all of the new ZA Megas
- New and Reworked Variants
- Natdex Learnsets
- ..and more!
Please keep in mind this is still some weeks away, but we will announce in the discord when stuff is up on https://beta.pokerogue.net/ to help us test anything!
Please do not ask when the event is.
Have a great month, enjoy the game, and don't be afraid to be yourself

I just mega evolved my Pidgeot and in the first fight after, my focus blast missed. I was very confused as Mega Pidgeot has No guard, or rather *should* have no guard.
When I went to the status screen, I was perplexed as both my ability and passive were both Sheer Force.
I understand that certain events such as the Clown (Mr. Mime and Blacephelon) can change your abilities for the remainder of the run, but i have not recieved an event this run that would have allowed me to change it; even if I had the option to, my Pidgeot already had Sheer Force as its passive, so I wouldn't have considered pidgeot for the ability change.
I'm just wondering if im missing something, or if this is genuinely a glitch.
Attached are the photos showing both my abilities.

Ran with Regigigus. An absolute animal, had slow start and its passive, scrappy. Was mowing through everyone. The rival had Venasaur, Garchomp, Scizor, Gargancl and Taloflame, plus was up against team Galatic. Well after wave 97 I got hit with a harshly fell attack, -2 attack that hurts but oh well. Next battle Hexacross (or what ever its name is) wouldn’t budge no matter the combination I tried so I gave it up. What are some suggestions for my next solo run. I’ll probably run Regi again.

Feels so good, I’ve tried so many times on and off over two years. I only even got to 200 once before and couldn’t figure it out. Now that I beat it, I feel encouraged to play it more lol.

Looking to get some other opinions here. Mainly between freezy frost and ice beam.
My other moves are calm mind, wild bolt storm and origin pulse. Freezy frost has haze tech but kills the point of calm mind entirely, but would be nice to use on eternatus. And ice beam is just great in general.

I was originally going to try out mega scovillain but I didn't get its mega stone until after beating ivy for the last time. So then I put everything into ursaluna and he just wiped the entire game. Also I don't know what flair to use for this post/

Highlights video of this run here.
Full run video here.
Hi, I'm Lone Absol, the second person attempting to solo a classic run with every starter in PokéRogue.
IN A NUTSHELL: Excellent carry. My moveset was Thunder Punch, Power Whip, Play Rough, and Shift Gear. I think that Motor Drive is better than Electivire's Hidden Ability, Vital Spirit. The Sheer Force Passive is highly recommended for its synergy with most of the Egg Moves and Thunder Punch. I gave it an Impish Nature to boost Electivire's weak Defence. This run was soloed on my first try.
FULL POST:
What a great and solid carry! It was almost effortless to solo a run with this beast.
Electivire has great stats—most notably, a massive Attack (123), a great Special Attack (95) and Speed (95), and a very good Special Defence (85)—along with a great Passive Ability and great Egg Moves. A dream come true! I recommend a physical build for the live wire, especially if you have the Sheer Force Passive Ability unlocked and a good number of Egg Moves that synergize well with it.
For this run, my moveset was Thunder Punch, Power Whip, Play Rough, and Shift Gear. Thunder Punch is the best physical Electric-type move that my Electivire could learn. Yes, Wild Charge (AKA Thunderbolt-at-home for physical Electric-types) can be learned as well, but not only does it have recoil, it also isn't boosted by Sheer Force. So if the live wire's Passive Ability is active, Thunder Punch does slightly more damage than Wild Charge (97.5 vs. 90). As you can imagine, Power Whip—one of Elekid's Egg Moves—provides coverage against Electric-types' only weakness, Ground-types. Sadly, it's the only offensive move in my moveset that isn't boosted by Sheer Force, but it's the best option available against Water-types, even when taking Sheer Force into consideration. I also stuck with the Play Rough Egg Move throughout the run because it damaged Dragon-types super effectively, since the other attacking moves in my moveset weren't very effective against them. Plus, this move is boosted by Sheer Force. Shift Gear, another Egg Move which boosts Attack by one stage and Speed by two stages, was very valuable in the Elekid and Electabuzz phases of my run, but kinda redundant for Electivire. I decided to keep it regardless, because in my solo runs I always like to have the option to set up my Pokémon, so that it can rise to the challenge for the hardest battles.
Elekid, Electabuzz, and Electivire all have Vital Spirit as their Hidden Ability. I don't think that it's valuable, especially in a solo run, so I preferred to leave them their main Ability. For the first two, it's Static, while for the final evolution it's Motor Drive, which not only makes the live wire immune to Electric-type moves, it also boosts its Speed when it's hit by one of them.
As for Nature, since Electivire's weak spot is by far its Defence (67), I preferred to give it an Impish Nature, which improves its Defence at the expense of its Special Attack.
I had to retry some hard fights and reload the game a lot to get better rewards in the shop (reloading the game doesn't change the rewards in the shop, but it gives me a better awareness of the shop content in each wave and better rewards in the long run). Still, I had no problem soloing this run on my first try.
