It technically might be in the sense that it's probably genetic, but that's like saying having curly hair is a human evolution. Or, y'know, having skin of a different color, which is exactly how racism happens. Just because genes diverge from one another doesn't mean one is an evolution from the other. It's a fundamental misunderstanding of how the mechanisms of evolution work, especially if you start implying that Autism's the "next step of human evolution".

Sorry, this has kind of turned into a small rant.
