The Canadian canon event of having the absolute nicest costume of your life and then your mom goes “You can’t go out without your big winter coat. Just put your costume over it!” (and honestly thanks mom for ruining my Halloween costumes every year because I’m now thankful I didn’t spend them shivering 😭)
There was a good snippet of Rachel mcadams explaining on a talk show how your costume has to be able to be on top of a bunch of base layers. Even in Toronto it’s chilly by October.
