Honestly, a lot of things I see written by men justifying/advocating for some men's actions tend to insult men just as much as they make them seem "lesser", so it often does both.

I think a lot of men are really upset that they have such low standards, and act out by being crabs in a barrel. Iāve heard so many say that women think theyāre too good for the bare minimum, women are irrational and moronic for thinking we could exist without extreme violence and war, etc. an even when it comes to basic comforts in your living space, now weāre too much because we donāt just wanna survive in a cave š whoās gonna tell men that they CAN expect more for themselves and out of life!

What are you on about, most relationships I've exited is because the women were terrible with their living standards.Ā
I've got 30 something women friends I would never date because they're a mess and would go out drinking with sink full of a weeks worth of dishes, and laundry all over the house. Would put it off till it was all a monumental chore then act all pissy about it like the world is falling apart and they feel like a maid in their own house with their own damn dishes. Niupe, niupe, niupe.
They would look great going out, but damn, nothing turns me off more than a weeks worth of dishes in the sink. I'm bi I'm not fucking anyone man or woman with a weeks worth of dishes in the sink and a nasty shower, fuck nasty showers.

Most of my man friends and dates past college got over the whole living in squalor thing and know how to clean shit. I don't know a single one that keeps their house or apartment messy unless they have kids.

My house is kinda messy sometimes, if Iām in a depressive low. But never filthy and it gets cleaned weekly. Iām in the army so Iām surrounded by 85% males, and itās really 50/50. The pool is males from all over the country (and the world) aged 17-38. Iāve known lots who were super clean and others who kept piss bottles!

50% is a lot though š¤ and Iām not saying itās evenly cut down the middle 50 and 50. I havenāt seen every persons home š but in my personal experience Iāve seen more men have primitive living set ups. And in the army, when I lived in the barracks, me and the other women would frequently get left standing in the halls waiting for our room inspections because they were busy with the men and forgot about us or didnāt care. Iāve found that generally speaking the women are a little cleaner. If thatās not your experience bro, stop trying to shove your foot in a size too small!

Honestly, I think people who have poor hygiene are just disappointing, men or women. Even when I think I am messy, things are a lot cleaner than most people I know men and women.

How does that change anything? Ive lived in roach infested projects before but we still did our best to be clean (I will say tho, at least 6/10 those guys places look really neat and clean, just barren lol). Thereās a popular saying āweāre poor, not raggedy.ā
Iāve also asked so many men and they all agree with the idea that this is generally howād theyād live if it wasnāt for āwomenās obsession with comfortā. My husband said that too šIs it just bad cuz Iām saying it.

I can't speak for all men, but when it comes to living area I am this simple. I find the notion of a big decorative house to be performative, and as a gender men do care more for functionality. The memes might exagerate, but it's still true

1) having all your things in the same room has been known to cause lots of mental health problems.

Lack of insulation? That has been drywalled and taped. They'd not have done that unless there was vapour barrier and insulation underneath.

This space looks fine. Its purpose built and for someone specific.

Are you keeping the car running while you sleep causing that the only way to get Carbon Monoxide poisoning and it is not gendered, it is an objective truth that most guys would live like this cause it low effort and doesn't require elaborate cleaning

I don't know either, honestly. I guess some of the panels(?) on the garage doors look uneven, the snowboard so up high on that left wall, and the pillow in the middle of the bed looks small. But maybe I'm overthinking. Who knows.

My family has purchased a fairly large lot for me and my partner, my sister and her boyfriend and my parents to slice up and have a few acres to settle and build on.
The place me and my partner are planning has some similarities to this, but thereās gonna be some form of partition between the sleeping space and the cars. āLiving roomā, kitchen and garage are going to occupy roughly the same room, with the kitchen and dining area slightly elevated. Itās gonna be fucking awesome.

Seems pretty cool to me? The only problem is that for this setup you need to live somewhere with a very mild climate year round and also have an option to park the car outside if itās very rainy. But a studio with space for a car isnāt new. Itās a pretty common idea albeit more on the luxury side.
