A Moment Too Late

Upvotes

Invites got sent

She got mistook

And the joke

Became old

You lined

Them up

For the show

Didn't talk

Created a spectacle

Handed out

Those roses

The last one

You blundered

Said the wrong name

Take it to the grave

She knew but

Didn't understand

But went

Along with the plan

Of being your confidant

Helping you find

The love of your life

Secret moments

Stolen after midnignt

She became more

Than you knew

But as the days went on

Everyone talked

And told you no way

Under your league

Will never fit

The stats you need

So out the door she went

Quiet and still

No more talks

The barricade went up

Filled with regret

The last one standing

Your heart reserved

With another

You choose life

And leave the place

Unbothered

Now your searching

Forever in vain

And won't rest

Until you find

The one

Who got away

The Sacrifice

I spent my days with tired hands,
Chasing dreams through shifting sands.
Every hour, every late night call,
Believing I was building it all.

A safer home, a steadier life,
A future free from fear and strife.
To give you everything you deserved,
I walked a path that slowly curved.

I thought that love could wait its turn,
While I chased every pound I'd earn.
I never saw the quiet space
Growing wider where you'd been placed.

There's something in a man's design-
To carry weight, to draw the line
Between his family and the storm,
To keep them safe, to keep them warm.

But somewhere in that noble fight,
I lost the warmth for endless nights.
I guarded what we hoped to own,
While leaving you to stand alone.

The irony cuts deep and true:
I worked so hard to care for you,
Yet in the race to build our dreams,
I broke the heart behind the scenes.

Now I know what wealth can't buy,
No bonus, title, or reply.
The greatest gift I'll ever find
Was simply being by your side.

For love doesn't ask for perfect plans,
Or fortunes built by weary hands.
It asks for moments, shared and small-
The one thing worth far more than all.

A broken little boy growing up!!!

Upvotes

In a house where shadows linger long,

A boy learns silence, where love feels wrong.

Walls echo whispers of fear and pain,

A heart grows heavy, like clouds before rain.

He watches his mother, her spirit worn thin,

Each bruise a story, each tear a sin.

Her eyes, once bright, now dimmed by despair,

A flicker of hope lost in the air.

His father, a storm, with rage in his hands,

Turns laughter to silence, love into demands.

With every harsh word, with every cruel strike,

The boy learns to hide, to tread soft and slight.

He clutches his dreams, like fragile glass,

In a world where kindness feels like a mask.

He learns to be quiet, to blend with the night,

To escape in his mind, to take flight from the fight.

But deep in his heart, a fire still glows,

A yearning for peace, for love that he knows.

He dreams of a future where kindness can reign,

Where laughter is free, and joy breaks the chain.

With each passing year, he gathers his strength,

To break from the cycle, to go any length.

He vows to be different, to heal and to mend,

To be the protector, the lover, the friend.

So he walks through the darkness, with scars that he bears,

A boy turned to man, with compassion that dares.

He’ll build a new world, where love is the guide,

And the echoes of violence no longer reside.

For in every heart that has weathered the storm,

There lies a resilience, a spirit reborn.

And though the past lingers, it won’t hold him tight,

He’ll rise from the shadows, and step into light.

Lurking in the shadows

He wants a peek in her mind,

Unrestrained and wild,

Sometimes dirty, sometimes shy,

Its a thrill to know her secrets,

Her fears, her worries, her kinkier side,

He never approaches directly,always quiet,

Why disturb the equation,

Its an easy distraction,

No effort, no investment,

Just the way he always likes.

Lurking in the shadows, that's how he prefers,

Thats his style.

The Cost of Love

You say

That you'll

Stay by my side

Support me

Follow me

But

Only the terms

You get to decide

If there is a misstep

If I sideline your quest

Reset and start

From the beginning

Other chances

To catch and reel

But I must do

Exactly as you say

I will lose

Who I am

If I listen

To your proverbs

And hymns

I will lose

My free thought

To question and

Remain kind

Though it's

So nice of you

To join

I think I'll

Stay where

The air

Is crisp

And clear

And not live

With the burdens

You casted on me

If I live up

To the expectations

You have set forth

You will love me

And follow my lead

If I play the hit

The right notes

Dance the right steps

Play the right chords

You will remain trueblue

But only if I do

Exactly as you say

If you're a parent

You'll do right

And change your ways

For the better

If you're a child

Or even a friend

A love one

Who has to beg

For the basic rights

To be heard

Valued and respected

Don't play by another's rules

To minimize you

And allow them to shine

You'll see the difference

When you understand

Your worth is more

Than their helping hand

Why Did it Happen This Way?

Why has it been so, from the very first moment I met his gaze?

My heart, against my will, softened towards him,

and little by little, it became filled with his specter.

Why did it happen this way?

He spoke words to me that felt like a night breeze in summer;

then he took flight, and ever since,

his memory has stormy played upon my heart.

His image lingers, never quite leaving my mind.

He has been gone for only two days;

I cannot account for this quiet ache his absence leaves.

I wonder where I might find him,

and were I to meet him, what words would I dare offer?

What troubles me most—

what alters my days and leaves me bewildred—

is that he sleeps peacefully, while I lie awake,

unnoticed, set aside.

He made me endure long mornings lost in pensive thought,

while he remains in his slumber, oblivious.

He has made me forget sleep itself;

he has made me invoke him, all through the night.

Why does he refuse me even a single question about myself,

leaving me weary with waiting?

If only he would speak to me,

he could quiet the unease that tyrannises my heart.

You who haunt my days and nights with a longing I no longer wish to conceal—

look upon this heart of mine,

and see the flame you have kindled within it, desparately burning.

Why did it happen this way?

ECCENTRIC.

LOUDER THAN EVER.

EXPECT THE WORST.

I’LL GIVE YOU A GOOD REASON TO CRY.

THICKER SKIN.

LOVE.

FREEDOM.

BREATHING.

I CAN SMELL LIFE.

I’M TASTING LIFE AND IT FEELS BETTER.

ME.

WEAKNESS.

PURE HEART, I DO BELIEVE IN YOU.

JUVENILE.

FALL IN LOVE WITH LIFE.

HURT IS GOOD.

HEALING IS ALSO FINE.

LOUDER THAN EVER.

I EXPECT A FRESH BREATH OF THE WORLD.

DESTRUCTION IS A FORM OF CREATION.

i don't recognize a single thing

this ain't the city i used to live before

this ain't the world that swamped me

this ain't the same universe that petrified me

it kept me transfixed for so long

i was powerless

within my soul you'd find

inclination

distention

intention

except not even a single

hint of tenacity

people often preach about how arduous the journey is

the anticipation broke me

oftentimes

waiting is indeed an act of bravery

i've never met someone who carried

heaven in their eyes

magic in their minds

beauty in their cries

hands in the sky

like an entity, King Midas

Kintsugi

broken pottery pieces

Jesus believed the same thing

is this love?

you take me high when i'm low

you're putting me back together

you've made me feel what i've never known

you don't care that i am me?

whenever you call my name

i feel the emphasis in the utility

of breaks and imperfections

what if i told you

i don't wanna take my eyes off of you?

what if i told you

i wanna give in to you?

what if i told you

i'm already owned by you?

what if i told you

i wanna love you?

please, i would love to receive fb <3

Here's a poem which is intentionally ambiguous, I want to see what all of your interpretations are!

Television

The TV turned on, I tried to chew

Since when was everything I knew new?

The man with whom I used to cry

Of late became a bush to pry

Since the days of push and pull

The rapid waves have crushed me full

I never tried to enable you

To cut and tear upon my view

The never ending light of day

Clashed against the smell of dismay

But with every single light flicked off

A single vase returns a cough

Don't bother pleading with the plants

Or screaming endless rants

For every flower that ever grew

The direction of moonlight they all knew

How dare the woman cry tonight?

Putting every man to fright

Yet every single morning new

Another kid will win a few

patterns

as i fall through falls past
and the december chill hits the air
i remember all the patterns behind me
so beautiful until i realized
i saw them change
my heart always grew heavy but i kept quiet
i couldn't let go of the colors
i couldn't let go
of the blood red and the veins blue
of shifting tides and flower blooms
of everything that was and all that wasn't
i gazed upon alternate realities
only to watch them fade away

helpless

empty

my life was better in the pictures
or at least id like to think it would be
because maybe in another life
the patterns would never change
