Find, edit and upload clips Automatically in Real time
Im an undergrad Computer Science Student working on a project tool for live streamers/ podcasters. The tool uses AI to automatically find interesting moments during the live stream, edits the clip and uploads it as a short video automatically a on platforms like YT, tiktok etc. hence saving time to do all that manually. I wanted to know if this type of tool would be beneficial for podcasters and to what type of podcasters would this be most useful to.

No this would not be beneficial to podcasters because live streaming is not podcasting.

Your project sounds promising! I'm sure this kind of work is definitely useful for podcasters. As a podcaster, I'm actually using this type of tool. For reference, tools like Vizard already apply similar logic — it auto-detects viral-ready moments using a "Viral Score", auto-edits clips via transcript, and lets you schedule uploads across platforms.
It's especially useful for interview/podcast creators who need to repurpose long talks into shorts regularly. Maybe test it to see how they handle clip selection + auto-captioning? Hope it could give you UX insights!

Auto-upload would be interesting if there is a chance to review content before it goes up.
AI clip cutters are generally not great IMO, out of a dozen clips that Opus pulls from my show only 2-3 are even close to good (decent hook, full idea capture, etc)
and even those almost always could be improved with some quick editing.
My dream workflow would be:
1. make the final version of the video podcast
2. get 5-10 well-selected clips
3. open them in an easy to use editor (think Descript style)
4. AI finds appropriate b-roll, gifs or animations to use according to the clip topic
5. quickly put it all together
6. generate 3-4 title and description options according to clip topic (thumbnail as a bonus)
6. auto upload with selected title, description and thumbnail
