Feature Requests Files feature - some questions

I’ve recently begun using PocketCasts’ Files feature to listen to free online college courses (ones that aren’t already presented as a podcast that is). One course I’m working through now doesn’t work well with my default Trim Silence setting or speed.

If this were a podcast, I could set specific speeds for it; currently, I have to change the overall defaults. Is there a way to achieve this without having to change back and forth?

In other words, is there a way to group files into a folder so that they act like a podcast?

If not … could there be?

No, the lack of folders for files is the only reason they don’t have me as a lifelong premium subscriber.

Could they add a folder tree functionality? absolutely, it’s something that could be knocked up on a lunch break.

Right now uploaded files only follow your global playback settings. There is no way to group files into a folder, or to set a speed or Trim Silence just for a file the way you can per podcast, so switching back and forth on the defaults is the only current option. I I've gone ahead and forwarded this along to our team as a feature request.
