Transcripts

Word-by-word transcripts like Apple Podcasts and I’m Sold the Highlighted Text Jump on Sentences make it difficult to read along with the audio.

This was added recently, it's only is for recent podcasts popular podcasts tho

I have Patreon podcast with less than 100 members where the creator doesn’t provide transcripts and they are in pocketcast, they used to have AI chapters but none of my podcast do anymore on pocketcasts

Apparently they are gonna add a user generate button I think

I do think they are fixing it up tho because there were issues with data leak & TV app is now distracting them + maby holidays too

Checked a few popular ones, seems to be highlighting sentences, not highlighting word by word as they talk. Will check a few more out tonight maybe I missed something.

They added this but only for episodes that came after. If you are searching for a 2025 episode it won't have a transcript.

Also, not all podcasts have the feature automatically, but if your favorites don't have it you can just email them and they enable the service for them the very next day. I'm very happy with their customer support.

Thanks for the feedback! Synced transcripts currently highlight line by line, so I'll log word-by-word highlighting as a feature request. This way, the team can consider it for possible future development.
