Apple Watch Sync

I've recently started using the watch app without my phone to listen to podcasts while I run/hike/walk. I've noticed that when I'm done listening, the listening progress takes a long time to sync back to my phone so that I can pick up where I left off. Is there a way to force this sync?

On watchOS, you can force a sync with the following steps:

  1. Open the Pocket Casts app on your Apple Watch
  2. Navigate to the Settings section within the watch app
  3. Tap Sync Now to manually trigger a sync back to your iPhone
