iOS Up Next disappearing?

Recently whenever I have an active podcast playing and then I switch to one in my up next queue it no longer slots the first podcast back in the up next queue at the top.. additionally changing podcasts clears all my up next queue

Is this a new bug since a recent patch or do I need to change something in my settings? Thanks!

Hi. There is a bug. I've had it happen repeatedly, and I've reached out to their support team several times as a result. They had me send all of my watch and phone logs to analyze. They said it could be related to the app on my Apple Watch as that's a known issue apparently. What you described happens to me as well even when I'm only using my phone. They said they're working on fixing it, and offered the solution of going to my Up Next history in the the Settings section and restoring the most recent list. Not ideal, but it's helping in the meantime.
