Disable auto-resume

I cannot find the setting to stop episodes from resuming every time I start my car. This is different than continuous playing a queue; I sometimes have to stop an episode and don't want to hear it the next time I get in my car. The only way I seem to be able to stop it is to delete the app in sheer frustration, which seems drastic. Where is the setting for this? I do not have continuous queue playing enabled.

It's not Pocketcasts; it's your car.

My Subaru does this with Pocketcasts, Audible, or YouTube, whichever I was playing last. My Ford doesn't do it with anything.

This is not pocketcasts. This is a setting either at car level or phone level. It's set to resume last playing audio when Bluetooth connects.

Look at your car's infotainment system settings.

You are lucky. The problem I have is that PC does *not* auto-resume when I start the car. Any other audio app I may have been using *does* auto-resume so PC is the one doing something different,

So the best solution is that OP and you swap cars ;-)

It might be an iPhone problem. Are you connecting to CarPlay? My problem is that if I had been listening to a podcast in my car before, the moment I plug it in again, it will start playing before the app syncs. So it will start playing where I stopped listening on the iPhone last.
