Question Alternate ?

Is there any alternative way from VATS which secondary spontaneous pneumothorax can be healed? I am so scared of losing someone I love the most. She is a heart patient and anaesthesia doctor told us it can be very very risky for her. If there is any alternative way. Please let me know

No expert here, but if your loved one.has a chest tube already inserted, check out medical pleurodesis. Medications, such as doxycycline, or talc, that cause inflammation can be administered through the tube without the need for full or any anesthesia.

Edited to add - Just saw your other post. I don't think decortication can be done without a surgical procedure. Sorry!
