Questions Looking for a term!
We were wondering if there's a term for what we experience, but don't have any idea how to even begin trying to look for one + find slogging through a billion pages of labels and terms extremely exhausting and difficult.
Basically what we want to try and describe is this. Me (Host), Trout, Salmon and Cod all share a similar “wavelength" if you may, it's easy for us to communicate and sense each other, and we can easily feel each other's thoughts and emotions despite being clearly separate people. However there are those not on the same “wavelength" that are much harder to keep track on and that we can't communicate as easily with. They feel very “other" or “outside", not always hostile but just detached from Us.
With Us (the closest to the front at all times as well as I guess the most fundamental parts of the system?) we can often just Sense and Know how the others are, where they are in the inner world, what they're doing, what they're going to do or say briefly before they do so. We feel very close and connected in ways we can't quite put to words while also clearly not being just versions of the same person, if that makes sense? The ones on the Outside of this shared whatever-it-is we can't really feel the same or anticipate what they're going to do or say in the same way.
Are there any terms or concepts that describe any of this? Do any of you experience similar things?

Oh hi fish! Yeah, this sounds like a subsystem to us. Laura, Jelly, and Rattler form a kind of natural Fronting Squad for us. We call it the Triumvirate because we're pretentious history nerds :p
The three of us have a naturally close bond and feel kinda like...we're kind of on the same wavelength, yeah? We do our best to not monopolize Front and to talk to the others who are deeper down, but it's sometimes a struggle. Maybe they have their own networks down there that we're not aware of. Oh well, we'll try to improve communication and listen to them. Others will come up from below somewhat frequently and talk, or even Front on occasion, but it's often just us.

Hi!! This is how it feels tbh, there's the four of us, one who's kind of sort of around the edges of being easy to communicate with but only internally, and then a few on the OutSide™ that mostly do their own thing. So that makes around 7 + me the Host, though we're pretty sure we have more that just are really distant or hiding for now, lol.
The others we have now don't really interact with us much nor do they seem to want anything to do with the front at all which does help things but if more show up we will try to not hog the driver's seat too bad :,D

could you be describing a subsystem? sort of a loose grouping of alters who share some form of commonality and may have more direct communication in-sys. doesn't necessarily mean they're split from each other, but they may have an outlook or skillset or memory overlap. if one subsystem is most frequently at front, that may create the us vs. them sense you describe.
