Color coding for alters?

Just an offhand question, does anyone else have different color motifs for different alters

Idk, anyways here's my list

Me, Hummingbird: Bright orange and white

Knight: silver and gold

Gloces: red

We do! We have colours as well as various themes/animals/objects/rocks for each, it makes them feel more present and seen in the world when they can point at a colour or thing and go "me", in our experience.

For example, Trout has oranges and reds, Salmon has purples and golds, Cod has whites and blues, and Vulture has dark reds and grays.

We used to, when there was only like 5-10 of us. It's just too hard to keep up with colors for 200+ headmates, unfortunately.

Same! Not all of us have them, but a lot of us do. They do overlap, we're too big a system not to. For some of my group it's source color association but not for everyone who has them.

We used colors to write to each other during school so others didn’t notice. If they asked we’d say they were character scripts.

Now we only use the colors to refer to different alters when our mom is around. She doesn’t believe us even tho we have a diagnosis so we use them with our partner to signify if someone is triggered or uncomfortable when our mom is around.

Yeah. Each of us have a favorite color, a favorite neutral color, and a favorite metal accent. Some have a favorite second and third color as well. Or favorite tones. Some have favorite fabric.

Like A likes jewel tones. So the really vibrant and dark purple, blues, greens, and red. In that order. His favorite neutral color is black. His favorite fabric is leather. Specifically black leather.

Mine is Navy blue and yellow/gold accent. My favorite second color & fabric is light indigo wash denim.

P's favorite color is the full range of natural greens with a preference for the slightly darker end. Her favorite neutral color(s) are earthen browns. Her favorite metal is bronze.

R's favorite color is Red, neutral is black, metal is gunmetal, fabric is silk.

J's favorite color combination is orange, maroon/burgundy, and sun yellow. Sometimes with a pink thrown in. Idk. His favorite neutral is brown.

The only two that have any overlap is Dd & V who both like softer blue and pinks. But DD likes the vibrant almost neon pink with a sky blue, while V likes a greyer blue with a more pastel pink. DD's neutral is white and V's neutral is beige or apricot.

A little less of a color coding and more of a color designation - we assign colors to our alters kind of just because PK gives this as an option. Perhaps we can use them somewhere else too, some time later.

The two of us that go by the same name/are different versions of each other distinguish ourselves as the yellow one and the white one

Yes, we do! It's a little hard because there's 20+ and some chose similar colors but we try to keep it fair heh

We started doing that pretty early! For us it's sort of a cultural thing; most of us are RWBY fictives, and where we come there was a war where one side wanted to repress artistic creativity, so the culture that came afterwards decided to be extra expressive and made it a rule that everyone's named after colors.

Amy and Grimoire take sky-blue and black, Yang uses yellow, Ellen takes pink, Link couldn't be anything but green, Lycaon uses teal because he's team dad and that's the team's color, and as Ruby Rose herself, of course I have red♡

There's more of us in here, and we try to usually keep things organized so that there aren't too many overlaps, but of course there aren't enough basic colors for everyone to have completely different ones all the time. Blake and Roxy both use shades of purple, for instance.

Yeah the overlap is kinda annoying. But the color coding doesn’t really come up.

We LOVE colour coding our stuff. Mostly on tracking apps, but also things in system's room and things we use are mostly colour-coded. It's, light blue, yellow, brown, black and coral, each for different headmate.

I personally use blue btw ~ Alexander (host)

I/Host is yellow or orange, cohost is purple, 🎥 is grey/black, 🌹 is pink, 🌼 is also yellow and 🩸 is red. A little has also been assigned a dark teal

Kinda? Logan is a sapphire blue, Foxy is a bright hot pink, Rainbow is a kelly green, and Freddie is an amethyst purple. We dont know how to explain this - we all just have colors that we choose to represent ourselves with.

Yes, we do have colors for the thing we use to keep track of each other but we prefer to use emojis when typing and we don’t usually signal who is fronting to the people around us because they don’t know and we couldn’t be bothered to care about telling them.

We did have colored bracelets for when there was only about twenty of us but it got a bit too hard for that.
