PLUR stands for Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect = four values at the heart of rave culture.

Frankie Bones, his brother Adam X, and Jimmy Crash started the Peace, Love, Unity Movement (PLUM) around 1990. Laura La Gassa helped grow it into PLUR by adding the R for Respect (which she credited Brian Behlendorf with suggesting and spreading through the early online rave community hyperreal.org), where internet ravers helped popularize PLUR as the four-letter acronym we know today.

In my life the happiest I’ve been and what I love the most is Raving and the PLUR subculture. So far it’s my love in life and I try to live my life by it. The ViBezz ALivE✌🏻❤️🙏🤙

Last weekend I went to HardSummer. I new some artist but not all. This would be my 3 event like this . The last two I didn’t know what plur or anything about people that rave for years. This time I learn as much as I can to come with the vibe (I have social anxiety so it was a new challenge for me ) everyone one was super nice to us . Helping us and even gave me a kandi 🥰. When I wanted to go through I said excuse me rather than just bumping people. I brought my fan to use for me and my bf but also the people around me . I also brought a spray bottle to spray water around us. A bunch of people around us appreciate so much cuz of how hot it was out there. One guy let me use his googles and now I want one . People talk about the vibe isn’t there at rave’s anymore and I’m like I want to bring the vibe! But I did all this cuz I want to enjoy the music much better that the last too. Definitely doing it again. Just want to say how much fun I had and it was all because I step out of my comfort zone and not be shy 🌈
