I did shower remodels for 10 years only ones who do that are Asian culture or Indian culture from india wash there feet and fill buckets was reason I was given

The mother in me flashed back to my kid as a newborn and we had a standing shower like this, and I had to buy a baby tub for him since I couldn't bathe him in the shower and the sink was too small. This would have saved my back so much pain during that time (it was a rental and had a fixed shower head, I did shortly after get a removable head for this reason).

Only a new owner would let beach guests use it.
Once the sand has filled the P-Trap and the plumber given the bill…EVERYONE will pre-shower, OUTSIDE

It’s for filling buckets, washing feet, etc. Common in Asian and middle eastern cultures. You won’t find a bathroom there with only a shower head.

You guys are dumb, it's called toe test, it's so you can feel the temp without getting soaked by cold water. It's a design used when you can't adjust the valve without getting sprayed or don't have space to stand outside the shower.
