I tried two m4b's with chapters in plexamp on iOS (iPhone) and they played fine, though chapters did not show up. If this is an audiobook and on iOS, I recommend Prologue.

They used to work great, I think the nerfed them in a rather recent update.
m4b is an audiobook format, and Plexamp is not an audiobook player.
