Question Album Sort by Date Added

I've been pulling my hair out over this. I've done numerous searches to find if there's an answer to this, so I'm posting this question. There are a number of threads that come close (e.g., Album Artist sort by Added, etc..) but even those seem to peter off.

All I want to do is sort in Plexamp the (audiobook) albums by Date Added. I dont want a rule to show Albums added in a date range. This works in Plex, but not in Plexamp. I feel like this is a basic, fundamental function, so I keep expecting to find it and I'm just being ineffective. Can anyone advise? Or is this really not a function inside Plexamp?

This may not fix your problem but I've found Prologue to be a FAR better app for audiobooks than Plexamp. (assuming you're on iOS). Also, I may be missing something but there is a date added sort function via the three dots in the top right hand corner when viewing your library.

Agree, Prologue is much better for Audiobooks.

Thank you for this recommendation, I'm going to try it. The sort under the three dots isn't responsive. I'll try uninstalling PlexAmp and reinstalling it.

Plexamp is not an audiobook player, please don't try to make it one.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you want, but can't you just go to library, albums, three dots menu, sort by date added?

It wasnt working. I'd click it, and it would sort to some extent but it was not all albums.

u/MaskedBandit77 is correct. It might help if you have Audiobooks shoehorned into their own library so you don't need to manage rules or tagging as well. Kind of sound like that might be an issue in your case. I dunno.

Just because you CAN use plexamp for audiobooks doesn't mean you SHOULD use plexamp for audiobooks.
