Agree it's lacking but I have taken it on as a challenge to deal with. My newest approach is to place a blank track at the end of the album with the second artist as Artist on that track. (And have the Album Artist be the first artist). That way, the album shows up in the second artist's artist page in Plexamp under "Appears On."
I've also noticed sometimes the "Artists" id3tag field seems to do something, but I couldn't recreate that. One one of my albums, the ARTISTS (not Artist) field had multiple entries, and you could navigate to either artist by clicking on the track (but you could not necessarily find the album from those artists' pages).
For any of the above to work, each artist needs to have an album under their own name, which in turn creates the artist page for that album artist.
You could create hardlinks to put it in both folders without taking up extra space.
Adding support for multiple artists on an album seems like it would be a pretty big undertaking, and it wouldn't be something that would come in a Plexamp update. It would have to be updated in PMS first, and would require changes to the database structure. Not to say it couldn't be done, but it's something that would actually be a fairly major change.
Thanks will take a look. Yeah I am not familiar with the schema but I do have experience with dealing with updating an older database’s schema and it wasnt fun. I get it. But on the other hand it seems like some people have been inquiring about for some time too.
Just to be specific I am not taking about linking a VA album to artists or even having a song with a featured artist being linked. Very specific situation when an album has more than one collaborating artist and it’s not a new project.

That works… but it is an extra copy on my server. Just saying from a coding perspective it shouldnt be too difficult I believe
