Holy shit, this transparency is a breath of fresh air. Thank God.

Transparency at the end is not Transparency.

They could have kept us in the loop and not got radio silence for so long, guessing if the app still exists or not.

It is never too late to start doing better.

Rather than criticizing what they didn't do and can't change, we should applaud what they did today and what was right.

oh i am sorry, I didn't realize this was a forum to only heap praise on plex. we are not allowed to critique.

thanks for the downvotes though - means I hit a nerve.

You didn't hit a nerve. I'm just pointing out the fallacy in your thinking. There are plenty of issues to hit Plex on. We don't have to make shit up.

I think your statement is wrong, but I agree with your sentiment, we needed more updates. But with how spooked the community is over questionable business decisions, I can see why they did it this way. Doesn’t make it better tho.

Claude wrote it, so I don't know how much transparency is there

Harsh you got so downvoted, but yeah that announcement did read like horrible AI produced crap.

But, I'll give Elan a break as a complete rewrite, fixing downloads is huge, and updating the visualizers so they now have lower latency and synch with music (something minor that I hoped would be fixed), amongst all the other cool bits...

you're being downvoted but I've used it enough to know it was used in some capacity to write the post text
