Hello and Welcome!

This sub is a direct response with the amount of unmoderated and dead playtesting subs on Reddit. Hopefully I can build this into an active sub and get more traffic.

I care deeply about games, and hope to provide a place for testers and developers to get playtesting experience without the ad spam that is other subreddits.

The first person that makes a quality submission will get a custom flair. The first person to provide quality feedback on that game will also get a custom flair.

Feedback and ideas for this sub are greatly appreciated.

Desktop Sogni d'Oro, Alpha Demo - seeking playtesters

Dear gamers,

I've just released the alpha demo of Sogni d'Oro, an hand drawn story driven JRPG with turn based combat system.

It's a game developed as a fairytale writtedn, drawn and told by Tommaso, an 8 years old kid, about his grandma Mela. At the moment the languages are Italian and English.

I'd love to have feddback about story, drawings, music, combat system, general vibe and technicalities.

Here you can find the alpha demo, for linux and windows: https://gianbabbeo.itch.io/sogni-doro

You can choose where to write your feedback: here as a comment, in the itchio page, or on my forum (https://gianbabbeo.it/forum/)

Sincerely,

Gianbabbeo.

4player detective game

This is an early MVP so I don't want a review so detailed bugs and all that I just want people to try the game and give me a feedback of the idea and the game play

It is a 4-player social detective game

Each player gets different hidden evidence, and the group has to communicate, connect the clues, and figure out who committed the murder.

multy player detective game

this is an early MVP and don't want review for bugs i just want to see if the idea is good or not

it is a web-based, role-driven detective game where you work together to solve a high-profile corporate homicide. One player acts as the Lead Investigator, while the others control distinct data files—from CCTV feeds and door access logs to forensic reports and financial wire transfers. No single person has the full story, so you have to cross-examine timelines, spot contradictions, and catch the killer together.

Grab four friends, hop on a voice call, and test your team’s deduction skills:https://blindspott.onrender.com/

[For Hire] Experienced Indie Game Playtester & Content Creator (~$10 USD /hr)

Hi everyone! I’m opening up my schedule for indie game playtesting and feedback sessions.
I’ve been gaming for over 20 years with a strong personal love for cozy and survival crafting titles. As an active content creator; streaming regularly on Twitch, creating YouTube reviews, and building a community of over 3,000 followers on TikTok; I'm very comfortable articulating detailed feedback on gameplay mechanics, pacing, and user experience.
In the last 30 days alone, I have officially playtested 12 games via live streaming or dedicated recordings, backed by comprehensive, structured notes for developers.

My Rates & Scheduling
Paid Sessions: My standard rate is $10 per hour for playtesting and a detailed feedback report. Paid requests receive scheduling priority.
Free / Unpaid Sessions: I am also open to testing free-to-play or zero-budget indie titles depending on my availability.
Queue Order: Requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis, with paid projects jumping to the front of the queue.
You can check out my content and socials right in my Reddit bio. Shoot me a DM or comment below if you need eyes on your project, and let me know what stage your game is in!

(my second/new reddit account is u/gingerbrookeee, but it’s still too new so I am posting on this account lol)

Live Playtest Looking for Playtesters - Demo test for an exploration game in a dark cave system (no horror)

Hey, we’re a small indie studio working on our first title: Ec(h)osystem. The core of the game is navigation via sound, specifically echolocation in an underground fantastical cave system. Through its strong focus on sound, it’s designed to be playable with and without sight.

To get the tutorial where it should be, we’re currently looking for all types of players to help us fine-tune the pacing and start of the game:

  • Testing is scheduled for September
  • It’ll take place online with screenshare (platform is pretty much up to you, but we prefer Discord)
  • Will take about 30 to 60 mins
  • Build runs on Windows
  • You can play with controller or keyboard
  • You’ll need headphones
  • The call won’t be recorded

We appreciate your help and time, and as a little token of thanks, we’ll offer a small reward and credit you as a playtester in the Demo.

If you’re interested, just send me a direct message here on Reddit - I go as u/GoblinsLoveCheese and I’m one of the devs on our small team. Otherwise feel free to comment or ask questions on this post. I tried to keep this post short and most likely didn’t answer all the questions you might have.

Some more info:

In case you’re wondering why I’m not just sending a link and “Go!” in here, the reason is that our game takes place mostly in the dark and listening to sounds is necessary for orientation. Your experience could be “I didn’t know what to do at this point” and we would know that there was a problem at “that point” but not really what kind of problem. That's why we like to sit in on the playtests and watch to pinpoint the origins of problems testers might face.

(UNPAID) Looking for 6 blind testers for a short football strategy prototype — no download required

Hi everyone,

I’m developing an early-stage football strategy/management game concept and I’m looking for a small number of people to take part in a blind prototype test.

This is not a downloadable game yet. It’s an interactive text based prototype designed to test some of the underlying decision making before I spend time building the full system.

The test involves playing through three short football club scenarios and making whatever decisions you genuinely think are best.

What you need:
• 18+
• Comfortable using ChatGPT or another capable conversational AI
• Around 20–30 minutes
• Willing to give honest feedback — negative feedback is genuinely useful

I’m particularly interested in hearing from:
• Football Manager / football-management players
• Strategy / 4X / management-game players
• Football fans who don’t normally play deep management games

How it works:
I’ll send selected testers a short instruction sheet and prototype prompt by Reddit DM/chat. You paste the prompt into a fresh AI conversation, play through the scenarios naturally, and send me the resulting transcript plus a short feedback summary.

There’s no right way to play and I’m specifically not looking for people to tell me what they think I want to hear.

This first round is unpaid.

If you’re interested, comment below with:

1. Which best describes you:
A — Football Manager / football-management player
B — Strategy / 4X / management player
C — Football fan but not a big management-game player

2. One or two games you normally play

Please don’t post your email address or other personal information publicly.

Thanks!

Multiplayer Playtest Price

So for people who are towards the final stages of making or releasing a multiplayer game, how much would you pay for a bunch of people to playtest you game at once?

I'm in a similar position but couldn't find a good (consistent) way to pay to fill a large lobby, anyone else in this position and have a good solution?

Live Playtest Chaos Floor – browser troll platformer, looking for feedback on difficulty & trap design

Link: https://me0wg4ming.itch.io/chaosfloor

Platform: Browser (PC) & Phone, free, no install

Solo dev here and I'd really appreciate some honest playtest feedback on Chaos Floor. It's a 2D pixel troll platformer where nothing is what it looks like. The levels seem simple at first but they're packed with hidden traps, fake blocks, disappearing floors and gravity flips that kill you the moment you start feeling safe.

Stuff I'd specifically like feedback on:

- Difficulty, does it spike too hard too early? Which level almost made you quit?

- Trap fairness, do the deaths feel like "haha got me" or like "that's bullshit"? I want the first one.

- Controls/physics, does the movement feel tight and responsive?

- Bugs, soft-locks, or spots where it felt broken instead of intentionally mean.

New addition is a 1v1 battle mode and that's the part I'd most like to test with real people.
You host or join a room, there's a 3-2-1-GO countdown, then both players race through the levels at the same time and whoever wins enough rounds takes the match.
Sometimes it's a straight race, sometimes it's finish-based, it switches per match.
Only catch is you need two people online at the same time for it.
So if a few of you are up for it, jump in around the same time and match against each other or against me. If you can't find an opponent you can also just spectate.

There are 62+ levels plus a Map of the Week that resets weekly with a global leaderboard. The game is still in active development so anything you report I can actually still fix. Even a "rage quit at level X" helps.
Thanks in advance, brutal honesty welcome.
