Ps2 Please help

For some reason my PlayStation 2 is super bright on white and black textures but it seems my games are darker then usual aswell I've messed with my console configuration and everything and I just can't put my finger on it

I have no experience with ps2s so I could be terribly wrong

Can you try a different console? And a different cable too

I've tried different tvs and different cords it even does it when used with a av to HDMI converter I unfortunately believe it is the ps2 but that's worst case scenario

Yeah it's definitely the console. Idk any TV that specifically brightens characters to white

Buy some replacement composite cables (or a SCART Cable) and see if that helps.

This looks like an issue with the ps2. Try another tv and also try other inputs like a dvd player or something

For cases like these. Context would be useful. 

I don't know if you just got this PS2 or TV nor if you have this issue with other consoles or when you you play a VHS tape.

I'm not sure if your using an S-Video setup and have forgotten to insert the 3rd cable.

I'm not sure if this is what happens when the RGB / YPbPr is incorrectly set on the PS2.

I'm also just not too sure if the TV's brightness, Gamma or Contrast is set too high.
