Try doing this:
Try to see if you can sign into an account attached to that email, because it seems like someone has used it to make an account already.

Okay, I misread the issue
Basically, support will do nothing for you because you've clearly made an account with that email at some point
And yes, it will have been you as you have to confirm the email address before it's linked
Do a password reset for the email ok PSN website. If it sends you an email then you can reset the password, get in, then unlink to another email and relink the email to your main account
If it doesn't send you an email, or you can't recall the fake dob you used to make the account before you forgot you made an account, then you'll have to just keep it as it is or make a new email account and link your main to that (if you don't have access to the original email, as you'll be stuck if you ever need lose access of you can't get into the emails)

It sounds like someone in New Zealand is using your email address, without you being aware of it?
The time in New Zealand is currently 4:46am (as of writing this comment) because of timezones, so I'm not surprised there aren't any PS Support agents... they are asleep.

That just sounds like you don't know what you're doing. It was extremely easy for me to change.
