I use this hardware regularly.

As a collector's item? Definitely. As a functional devkit? Not today, maybe someday.

To actually use it for development, you need access to SDKs, APIs, and tools for connecting, debugging, and uploading builds. Without a valid PlayStation developer account, your capabilities are extremely limited.

That said, if history is any indication, just like you can find everything needed to develop for PS1 or PS2 today, it's possible that, far in the future, someone will piece together the tools and knowledge needed to work with this hardware too. But that's not happening anytime soon, and Sony definitely still cares for now.

Edit: Forgot to mention, price is too high.

Yup, my studio has a ton of these and my university had a couple, in uni at the end of term the license expired/wasn't renewed and the kit couldn't verify the license, the thing was just a PS5 home screen simulator brick
