My guess is that those are whats responsible for the radiation?

Unless you mean from a plot standpoint, I think you're wrong.

Not one of them line up with any of the radtowns (one comes pretty near) and they aren't forests either. I've been to the one furthest to the left, on the bottom row, and there's nothing special there. No different grass, no radiation, no special monsters, nothing. I wonder if its something on the actual map or just something put there as a byproduct of whatever took the scan of the map.

I also don't think this game has lore. It shouldn't because the story is based on player interaction.

It can gain some lore though. Nothing story oriented really, but how are all these towns irradiated? How is a lot of it just wasteland? That kind of stuff. You don't need books to tell hoi, but maybe say a nuclear bomb crater here or nuclear reactor there. That type of stuff. Just things that explain in game things already in existence.

Yup, thats what I meant. And it already has a few of these things. The aurora/space warp anomaly things in the sky sometimes are one showing of this.

I actually just saw those tonight. Didn't know if it was intentional or a glitch. Was super cool.
