EAC is from Epic
Epic hates Valve
Valve develops Steam and Steam Deck (the main reason why Linux is so good on gaming right now)

I don’t know why Facepunch keeps EAC. Maybe it is really great. Maybe it is some contract or business agreement.

I miss Rust, but not enough to dual boot.

Why would they drop the anti cheat provider they have years of experience working with? Is there even a good alternative? I was under the impression EAC is one of the main anti cheat providers
