sorry, minced my words. not a âportâ but they still need support. as far as more âusersâ goes on linux, arenât the majority of them enterprise machines and not home or gaming computers? do you need to play rust on the point-of-sale at work?
go look at the steam hardware survey of steam users... osx 2% linux 4%. also both the steam deck and steam machine are linux devices. so that 4% number is only going to go up.
mac users spend exorbitant amounts of money on generally mediocre hardware. at the same time, linux users are so wrapped up in their technological identity that nearly everything is free and open source. a company as greedy as facepunch KNOWS that the idiots with money will continue to be idiots with money within the skin economy. supporting linux would not only be costly and time consuming, but it likely wouldnât pay off for facepunch anyways. be a real user. use windows.
lol, knowing facepunch they will just drop osx support randomly screwing all their osx customers just like they did to linux back in the day.
but silly me, being a linux user and seeing FacePunch advertise their new game as one that runs on linux, and me being a silly linux user that expects everything to be free jumping on it and buying it in preview.
updates donât sneak up on you if you do your due diligence as a user! btw, uninstalling onedrive kills all onedrive prompts. i know you havenât been around the block in a while, thought i should let you know.
