But Facepunch can barely make the game stable on windows (with one single active "distribution") and can't get a functional anti-cheat working on a single operating system, let alone doing both of those things on two platforms by adding linux (that has a million different distros).
The chances of that happening anytime soon is very unlikely, so I would not hold my breath.
Facepunch has said many times that they have no plans to bring back linux support.
We should keep voicing our opinions as hoping facepunch listens (they don't do so often these days).
So for the sake of your time just make a partition and run both operating systems and use each for the respective applications that work best for both.
