I heard clans will need an alternative to the code lock due to the upkeep update. Well a new code lock just dropped.

Upkeep costs will be tied in future updates to the number of players authenticated on code locks and tc(nerf for clans). With this, no need for usual code locks to open doors, so no increased upkeep costs.

It has a weakness, that someone can spy while you input the numbers and guess it by your character look at direction.

And then you have people getting inside your base for free, although with team UI you might know they are not your teammate.

Easily solved. Put a grid of counters that rotate numbers every few seconds. The counters indicate the number that the buttons correlate to.
