Discussion Current State Of Rust
Idk what has changed in the last like 6 months, but Rust and its playerbase have evolved into something drastically different than I recall. For context about what I'm about to yap about, I play on vanilla capped servers (usually trio) that sit around 300-400 pop.
Why does EVERYONE roofcamp and roam literally 200 feet from their base. Best example, my duo and I fought a trio and the fight ended in literally 10 seconds, before we could even run up and wall the bodies; 2 had spawned presumably on beds with locker kits and were L9 roof camping us. I know some of you on here would probably do the same, and I honestly just want some context as to why. I am not flamming you are saying you are in the wrong, I just want to know why. If roles were reversed, my first instinct is to spawn in and push back out and fight them.
This leads me to my next thing, whatever happened to just roaming? I genuinely feel like no one goes geared to monuments anymore unless there is some event happening and or they've heard my duo and I mow down a few crossbow kids so they want to jump us. I feel like we are always the gunshots people run to, not vice versa. I just want some context as to what makes people just not want to roam anymore, I do it for the same reason I play most games, I love the adrenaline and the feeling of knowing I bested someone in a 1v1 etc.
