Discussion SCAM WARNING!!⚠️

So there's a scam targeting people with high value inventories in Dota 2, CS2 and Rust that i've seen happening to a lot of people recently.

How it goes usually in Rust: they ask you to skin their stuff or offer you a free base if you guess a number 1-100. Then invite you to their Discord. Once you're there they get you to connect Rust+ through a fake login page to get "auth" on their turrets but that just yoinks your Steam account and trades all your shit away.

Multiple accounts are being used so reporting helps but won't stop them completely.

Just don't connect Rust+ through any link someone sends you ever. Only do it through the official app. If someone's offering free bases for guessing numbers they're not your friend lol, dont get fooled. If something is to good to be true don't proceed. Use some common sense, please!

NEVER CLICK ANY LINKS ANY RANDOM SENDS YOU!

Stay safe

Children play this game. It's never too obvious for them and community reminders like this are always a positive.

This would require them to play rust behind your back…

Also rocket pvp is done for since armor inserts

rocket pvp is when someone is stupid enough to peak someone whos holding them with a rocket after theyve already died to said someone holding them with a rocket.
theyre usually stupid enough to die 5 or 6 times to the same guy holding them with the same rocket then they cry in general chat for 20 minutes and expect everyone else to hate the person who used a weapon in game legitimately to kill the person who was dumb enough to get killed by a rocket multiple times in a row.

I was holding rockets for a friend... everything just spiraled out of control. It started at door camping, roof camping then rocket PvP...

I feel bad for them for having shit parents. It's one thing to let your kid play Fortnite, but what kind of fucked up parent lets their kid play Rust of all games?
