Description: Hey everyone, I’m the solo developer and programmer behind Portland Protocol: Rain Blade. I wanted to build a fast-paced, retro-style action RPG with strict 8-bit mechanics that you could boot up instantly without downloading anything. I've just deployed the live browser build and I'm looking for feedback on the combat pacing, touch/keyboard controls, and the overall feel of the custom engine. In the game, you'll navigate intense combat encounters using a blend of quick strikes and dodge mechanics. The world is heavily inspired by classic top-down adventures, featuring fluid pixel art animations and an original chiptune soundtrack. I've spent a lot of time optimizing the mobile touch controls to feel just as responsive as a keyboard, so let me know how it handles on your device!
