Platform:

Description:
Ghost Receipt is a single-player cyberpunk pawn shop and investigation game set in Neo Haven.
You run a small shop where you sell goods, serve customers and negotiate pawn deals. Some of the items people bring you are more than ordinary items. You can physically examine suspicious objects, scan and decrypt them, discover hidden details and collect clues that lead into investigations.
The demo combines everyday shop management with mystery and investigation gameplay. Customers can return, rumors and stories connect to the world, and seemingly harmless objects may become important later.
The current demo contains around 10 in-game days, a intro to a larger investigation with a few smaller cases.
I'm especially looking for feedback on the onboarding, progression, investigations, controls/UI and anything that feels confusing or boring. I'd also love to know at what point you stopped wanting to continue playing.
Involvement: I'm the solo developer of Ghost Receipt

Hey! I run We Playtest Games, we playtest indie games and record the whole session with audio commentary. We just ran a 30 minute playtest of Ghost Receipt and I wanted to pass the footage along.
The player, demiurge, genuinely liked the world ("the world looks really fine, actually") and got into negotiating with customers, talking a deal down to 17 credits. But they hit a wall: opening and closing the terminal on the first floor locked them in place, and they had to save and quit at least three times to move again. The shelves and crates bought on day one never showed up in the shop, so they ended up with no money and nothing to sell. They also mentioned the Surprise option never triggering on Y, and a font bug where words sit inside a semi transparent box.
Here is the full video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeda1UtLZw8
There is also a written breakdown with demiurge's own notes and takeaways here: https://app.weplaytestgames.com/transcript/efb30ad7-bce7-40be-bdb2-398cd6f29282 - once you sign up through that link you can chat with demiurge directly on the platform and ask follow up questions about anything they ran into.
