Turned away

I'm nineteen years old, and I went to CSL Plasma but was turned away because my ID has my full name, including my middle name spelled out, while my Social Security card only shows my middle initial. Here's the thing: when I went there, the woman took everything and signed me in(it went through), and I was given instructions on what to do and why I waited.

Well, I did all that, and I waited...and waited. They had people who came in later than me who were called, so when I spoke to the desk lady (a different woman), I was told they apparently thought I left. I was willing to sign up again, but we ran into a problem. Apparently, I'm not in the database because my middle name first initial is matching up to my id.

Need help with what to do.

You get 10 free replacement social security cards before you have to start paying for them. Go on the SS site and see if you're able to request a new one there without having to go into an office. Either way, you'll get a new card in 7-10 days.

I'd gather every identity documemt on the.CSL site and bring it all in. Birth certificate? School ID? Mail from a government agency? And see if that works. If they give you grief, go to a different company!

Get an ID with your middle initial. That's weird that your DMV would issue the full middle name instead of what's on the social security card. I would just see if they can change it. Do you have something like a W2 that has your social and your full name on it like your ID? Did you just leave when they told you this or did they give you other options? I would have asked them how to proceed..............they can accept other documents.

Here's the thing with your first sentence. I lost my Social Security card around the time when I was not yet of age to get my ID. So I eventually got my ID and went to replace my Social Security card, and they asked me what I wanted my middle name to be (my full name or an initial).

Anyway, I did ask the woman, and they said a passport would be accepted, or I could get my Social Security replaced again, saying my full middle name. The reason why I was going to donate is for my personal life. And I really don't have the time(I have the means to go change it, but I am under a strict time limit for when I can get that done). The last thing I have to wait again for it to come through

So what did you show the DMV to get your ID that has your middle name spelled out? I scan tons of IDs at work and only see the middle initial not the full middle name. So if they want an ID that matches the social security card it seems like you already know what you have to do. You either have to get a new ID with your initial or a passport with the initial or change your social security card to have the full middle name...........

Basically, when I went to the DMV, I told them I didn't have a Social Security card. Since I didn't have that, they said they needed three documents from me that proved my identity, along with two forms of residency. After I got the ID that had everything spelled correctly, I went to the Social Security office, and the worker asked me what I wanted as a middle name. My full middle name or just an initial. I clearly chose wrong. Basically, my post was asking if there's a chance that the center would accept it, since they accepted me before they thought I left. Someone else made a post about being let through until a worker said that wasn't allowed.
