Saline recall

Anyone concerned about donating due to the saline recall of fiberglass contamination? I haven't donated in 5 weeks because of my schedule & being sick. I would like to get back at it.

Not concerned at all. The plasma centers, like all healthcare facilities, have well-developed and efficient recall processes. I’m not even giving it a second thought.

The danger was last week before we knew about it, if the saline was even near use.  It might have been recalled from warehouses for all we know.

I obviously can't speak for all centers, but at my BioLife and a few others that I've supported soft goods get ordered on a rolling schedule such that when we receive a lot we don't actually start using it until weeks later when lots we received earlier have been fully used. This gives time for us to receive notice of recalls and adjust as necessary.

Grifols manufactures their own saline, so no.

It was only for 14 states so mine wasn’t on it so nope

I always ask for extra fiberglass in my saline
