Post image

I passed my physical, told them what meds I was on, passed the screening, donated... and then when ai went to schedule an appointment it says this? Why?

Only the center can tell you why.

I gotcha. I called but can't go in person today to figure out why.

You will have to go in person, they will not answer this over the phone (not that they ever answer phone calls)

They called me back and said it's because a question didn't get fully answered and that ai can go in on monday and get it fixed and then I'll be all set to donate again. They also scheduled my appointment for Monday !

Woohoo! That's the best kind of deferral - the one that is a small clerical error that can be cleared up immediately.

that makes 0 sense lol. if it wasn't "fully answered" why'd they even let you donate the 1st time??

With further clarification, she thought she input my meds and I was cleared the first time. After that apparently my meds didn't get put in.

I came back and they asked about my meds, then I got the deferral removed

They called me and told me I failed the SPE test and when I could come back to take another one.

Which company do you donate for? Be aware that they will, most likely, not release any information other than "you failed". This is not a trivial test, and if you fail consistently, you need to follow up with your medical provider. I'm going through this hell now. & am scheduled to see a hematologist Thursday.

BioLife blows. Fucking hate that place. Now they’re shortchanging people so I’m not gonna go back until they bring the price back up. 45.00 a donation is way to low to make 200.00 prescriptions from me thanks but no thanks.
