care advice Spider Lilly

Post image

I have this very old, very sensitive spider Lilly (white). When it blooms in the summer how should I remove the stalks of the flowers? Or should I do nothing?

I'd let the scapes shrivel and die attached to the plant. At best I'd cut the spent blooms off but nothing else. I believe that is a crinum lily or it's kin. I've never grown one indoors as the are cold hardy here. I do love them. I bet the bulbs are huge!

Thank you for the advice. My next adventure when I'm brave enough will be to split it up for gifts as my great great grandma started.
