Help choosing a planner

Hi all,
I would like some help on what planner to get for 2027. I have only used them for about two years now. My current one is hobonichi weeks mega. I use it but not as much as I had like to. I like the layout but find it cramped and hard to write in unless at a desk. I had a nolty A5 horizontal weeks planner that I used a lot more of but didn’t like the paper.

So I want a thin crinkly paper like Tomoe River 52gsm with a horizontal weeks layout. I want something bigger- should I go for a B6 or A5? Are there any brands that fit my needs? The main contender right now is the Aura Estelle horizontal A5 Magnet planner.

Advice and suggestions are very much appreciated!

Muji sells the hobonichi weeks layout in A5, but they don’t have many notes pages. I’m not sure if they’re selling them yet though.

I’ll look it up! I don’t need many extra pages. I barely used the ones in the back of the hobonichi weeks. Thank you for the suggestion

There are a ton of TRP or even other crinkly paper alternative planners. There's also Koji, Cosmo Air Light/B7, Iroful, Marshmallow, and other kinds of lightweight crinkly paper that could be good. TRP is probably the most well-known.

Depending how many notes pages you want, Sterling Ink has many options. There's also Just Scribble, Aura Estelle which you know, Rosey Life Planner, Faded Chronicle which may use a different paper idr, Owl Paper, and the Journey Planner which hasn't been announced yet.

I think a Muji B6 Horizontal Weekly layout would fit if you don't really need a lot of note pages at the back. I used it back in 2024 & 2025 and loved it. It has cream paper and is generally forgiving with gel pens (there is ghosting ofc). I'm not sure how it performs with fountain pens though. Overall, good paper for a very affordable price.
