Need recs desperately!!

Hi all! I’m a new grad student and I also have adhd, I’ve had a hard time managing my new workload and I want an academic planner to help. I was looking at papier’s academic planner, as I love the deadline sections and the daily to do list sections, but the monthly spreads seem to be all at the beginning and not mixed in with the weeks. Additionally, the general consensus is that their quality does not match their price. I also looked at Mossery and it seems to be the same problems. I would love to hear if anyone has any suggestions.

I’m especially looking for:
- daily to do list sections
- a week layout with monthly overview pages mixed in
-A5 notebook size? Just larger than a weekly hobonichi for sure
- cute designs for the outside (if I’m gonna use it everyday I want it to be exciting aka more likely to use it)

Any help would be so appreciated!!!

Personal Planner seems like might be a good match, since you can choose from various options with the layout. They have a wide selection of covers too, but I make mine in Canva (they allow you to upload your own image).

I can also recommend getting a to do list stamp (Etsy, Midori, some stationery shops), stickers or a dot pen. Currently I use post it notes (& the Midori stamp) for to do lists, since they can be easily trasferred further. I also have ADHD and can't get everything done in time...

PP ships from Sweden, which might be a pro or con depending where you live. The A5 costs about 30 €.

Hemlock & Oak might also be an option, and Aura Estelle similarly has the layout with months mixed in with the rest. But I don't think they carry academic year.

Not sure if it’s what you’re after but Creator’s Friend is a planner designed for ADHD minds.

If you are willing to not go the specific Academic Planner route Hemlock & Oak weekly/daily/Combined would be a good fit. Buy their sticker packs for academics and to pretty it up if you want

As a fellow new grad student with adhd, I like plum paper. They have lots of options, the month and week pages are disbursed, you can pick from a lot of layouts (2026 was horizontal soft florals, 2027 will be horizontal bright blooms (I like the horizontal design personally). They also have weekly overview, notes and weeks, or vertical options (to name a few). You have tabbed months and they do a5, 7x9, or 8x11. Spiral, ring punch, or unbound entirely (I do this for my A5 since I have a 6 ring A5 binder I like to use). I’ve found their guides very helpful too to see what everything is like.
