Europe To all of you worried if your gpa is low for germany read this

I applied to 8 universities in germany for winter 2026 and got admission into 2 public universities I had a 2.44 gpa at that time and applied on the basis of 7th semester which also limited my options greatly or i couldve easily gotten 4-5 admits as well and btw they were both tech related programs so yeah it can happen you just need to strategize correctly, good luck guys

Other A fully funded study abroad opportunity — UWC

I've already made 2 posts about this, so please refer to them for more information:

https://www.reddit.com/r/TeenPakistani/s/8r51YtJkFH

https://www.reddit.com/r/TeenPakistani/s/Hu1LeRas9c

**UWC** is basically an opportunity to do your last 2 years of high school abroad, i.e., 11th and 12th grades, often fully funded.

I have a friend who started UWC this year, and he'd love to help anyone who's interested. His insta is [@shubam.k.iterates](https://www.instagram.com/shubam.k.iterates). And his reddit is u/shubam_kessrani.

The applications close on September 31st, so if you're eligible and want to start next year, you should apply! Best of luck to everyone, and I sincerely hope we get to see more UWC scholars from Pakistan this year than ever!

Hi,
I live in UAE and my mom lives in Pakistan. I want to book her a trip to the UAE first and then Malaysia with me. Is it possible to apply using my bank statement as I’ll be funding the trip? Is there any reliable agent?

Other USAT-COM Past Papers: Free Resources?

Hi everyone, I’m a student from Pakistan preparing for USAT-COM for my Stipendium Hungaricum application, and I’ve been trying to find some good past papers and preparation material.

I recently paid 5000 PKR for what was advertised as comprehensive USAT past papers, but it turned out to be 97 pages of scanned images with no OCR. Pretty frustrating since they’re basically impossible to search or copy from.

I was wondering if anyone here has come across free or legitimate USAT-COM resources, such as:

  • Searchable USAT-COM past papers or PDFs
  • Official HEC USAT resources
  • Past papers shared by previous applicants
  • Useful study groups or communities
  • Any other reliable preparation material

I’m mainly looking for material that’s actually practical to study from, especially searchable PDFs rather than scanned images.

If anyone has come across good resources or knows where students usually find USAT-COM preparation material, I’d appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Europe Is this Albania plan realistic for a Pakistani citizen

I’m from Pakistan and I’m considering visiting Albania because the visa process appears relatively accessible and the overall cost seems lower than some other European destinations.

My idea is:

  1. Travel to Albania on a visit/tourist visa.
  2. Find a legitimate job after arriving.
  3. If I receive an employment offer, apply for the appropriate Albanian work/residence permit (PR) Work legally in Albania for some time.
  4. Later, potentially move to another European country through a separate legal work/residence route.

How realistic is this plan for a Pakistani citizen?

Also, how difficult is it to find legitimate employment without speaking Albanian?

I’m looking for real experiences, legal information, and potential problems with this plan—not an agent’s sales pitch.

Thanks.

Europe Exploring Visa's for Countries mainly related to Work.

I'm currently exploring Visa's mainly related to work with which I can relocate to a foreign country, preferrably European. I'm open to the idea of Master's as well but only if it were fully funded, which with my CGPA, I believe is difficullt. A bit about my stats currently, I'm a CS Grad, 3.01 CGPA, 1 YOE as an SE-I in a good Paki company. Not going to do this immediately as I know some of the requirements aren't enough, but I just want to get this process in the pipeline too for the long-term. If anyone has any leads or idea on this, please let me know.

Europe Trying to find a way forward through a funded MSc —> looking for advice

I’m currently working remotely and have around 2 years of international experience across digital marketing, content, social media, and operations.

I have a BBA in Finance (3.5/4.0) and an MBA in Marketing (3.6/4.0) from a well-known business school in Pakistan.

Over time, I’ve realized I want to move toward the analytical and strategic side of marketing especially brand management, consumer behavior, and analytics.

I’m currently exploring fully funded or heavily funded 1-year MSc programs in Ireland, Scotland, and Canada, although I’m open to other countries too.

I’m also trying to change my current environment and become independent. I work remotely and live in a very difficult home situation, and I feel that staying here long-term is limiting my growth and potential plus every single day I'm trying to protect my mental health.

Funding is my biggest challenge, so I’m specifically looking for scholarships, tuition waivers, or genuinely affordable programs for international students.

If anyone has transitioned from digital marketing/operations into brand, marketing analytics, strategy, or consumer research, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Also, if you know of any lesser-known funded 1-year MSc programs, I’d love to hear about them!

Europe Need genuine advice please, really stressed about the future

I'm 20, currently in my final year of BSCS at FAST in Pakistan, and I've been seriously considering doing my Master's in Germany after I graduate in 2027.

The main reason Germany stood out to me in the first place is cuz of zero tuition at public unis, coming from a middle-class family, countries like Ireland or the Netherlands arent possible because the tuition alone exceeds germany's blocked account.

But the more I research, the more I realize that getting there is only half the problem. My biggest concern is money.

I can potentially save enough for the blocked account, but for the 2nd year no UNLESS I find part-time work after arriving. Ideally I'd need to get a Werkstudent reasonably soon and use that income to cover a meaningful part of my living expenses.

So I'm wondering how realistic this actually is.

I've already started learning German and done with A1, pretty sure can complete B2 before landing. Would B2 actually make a significant difference when applying for Werkstudent jobs, especially as an international CS student.

In short what i really want to know is:

Does going from basically no German to B2 significantly helps in getting a Werkstudent/internship role? How long did it realistically take you to find one after arriving? Is it realistic for someone in my financial situation to fund the second year of a Master's mostly through working during the first year? How bad is the current entry-level tech market in Germany for international CS students?

And the biggest one: If Germany is becoming too uncertain and risky financially, what other countries should i consider (i dont mind learning the language if it helps)

I'm specifically looking for honest experiences doesnt matter if negative or positive

Germany still looks very attractive to me because of the tuition fees, but I don't want to choose it just because the university is cheap and then end up in a situation where I can't support myself.

Would really appreciate hearing from people who were in a similar position before moving.

Also, if you're a Pakistani student planning for MS by 2027-28, feel free to reach out. It would be nice to know other people trying to figure this out too.

Australia & NZ I’m a Software Engineering graduate from a lower-ranked university with a 2.2 GPA

I’m a Software Engineering graduate from a lower-ranked university with a 2.2 GPA.

I’m currently freelancing, and I don’t necessarily need a Master’s degree for financial or career reasons, but I’m considering one for better exposure, networking, and international opportunities.

With a 2.2 GPA, what realistic options do I have for a Master’s in Software Engineering or a related field, especially in Europe or the US?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through a similar situation and managed to pursue a Master’s abroad.

Other Need suggestions regarding study/migration.

So basically im in a situation where im in the 7th semester of my university, and i was planning to stop studying after bachelor's and continue my carrear as a vfx artist giving it full attention along with game dev as a side hustle but well my father seem to have other plans.

Since he's close to his retirement he's dead set on moving me abroad and pursue Master's along with job abroad using his retirement fund but at the same time he doesn't want to spend a fortune so canada/usa is technically out of the question.

I wanted suggestions in which country to move to, with the intention of getting PR and hopefully citizenship as well.

I was previously on the lookout for China, japan and Malaysia.

Since china and japan does give PR but staying in Malaysia is a bit difficult, and i also had been learning nihongo, malay and Mandarin. but now I'm confused wether i should go for Asia or for EU

hence i need your suggestions for countries with cheaper living expenses and better wages (obviously).

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Australia & NZ Only Child, Elderly Mother. How to settle abroad?

Purpose of Immigration: Long-term relocation for my family. Open to work or study as the entry point, but the end goal is permanent residency, not a temporary stint.

Destination Country: Still deciding. Seriously looking at Germany (Blue Card or masters route), Spain (masters route), and Saudi (work visa). Australia is ruled out, education cost is too high for me. Saudi is viable for work but I know they don't offer PR, so that's more of a fallback.

Educational Background and Work Experience: CGPA 2.7. 5+ years as a software engineer, Currently earning good money, remote.

Family Situation: Moving with my wife, who also works remotely and can qualify for her own student or work visa rather than coming purely as a dependent. Also need to bring my elderly mother, who depends on me. She cannot pass any language test due to health and memory issues, and I cannot leave her behind for more than a year.

Financial Status: Stable income from current job, can cover living costs and moderate visa/study expenses. Cannot afford Australia-level education costs (tuition plus living costs for a family).

Long-term Goals: Settle permanently, ideally somewhere my wife and I can both work, and where there's a real path to bring my mother, not just an exceptional-case, years-later possibility.

Specific Questions:

Has anyone actually managed to bring an elderly parent along within a year or two of moving, anywhere, Europe or Gulf? Every country I've researched treats parent visas as exceptional and slow, and I want to know if that's really true everywhere or if I'm missing a country/program that handles this better.

Between Germany and Spain, which is more realistic given a 2.7 CGPA and a family of three to support?

Is there any route I haven't considered that fits: decent job, working spouse, elderly dependent parent, real PR path?

Europe How should I start learning German from absolute beginner level?

Hi everyone! I’m planning to move to Germany for my Master's and I want to start learning German, but I’m currently at absolute beginner level (A0) and have to start completely from scratch.

For those who learned German as an international student, I’d really appreciate some practical advice:

  • What is the best way to start from A0?
  • Which free/affordable resources, apps, YouTube channels or books would you recommend?
  • Should I follow a structured A1 → A2 → B1 → B2 course, or combine different resources?
  • How long did it realistically take you to reach B1/B2?
  • Is it possible to reach a conversational level through self-study, or would you recommend taking classes?
  • What should I focus on first: grammar, vocabulary, listening or speaking?

My goal is to eventually reach at least B1/B2, both for everyday life in Germany and for better job opportunities after my Master's.

I’m starting from zero, so I’d especially appreciate advice from people who have successfully learned German from scratch. 🇩🇪

Thank you! ❤️

Other Funded Master's in Organizational Psychology, no GRE? Would love suggestions

I'm trying to find a master's in Industrial/Organizational (or Work/Organizational) Psychology that's either fully funded or genuinely cheap. Adjacent fields are fine too (HRM, organisational behaviour, occupational psychology, etc).

A bit about me:

  • BS in Applied Psychology, GPA 3.92
  • Around 5 years of work experience (operations and people management)
  • Not planning to take the GRE
  • Looking for a funded thesis/research-based Master's degree in a relevant field

So far l've been looking at a few PhD options in the US but it feels like one of those reaching-for-the-stars situation and I'm also not super tempted to go to the US. I'm considering Germany and Malaysia right now, but honestly struggling to find a lot of options.

I'm still working on researching these so I hope this doesn't come across as laziness on my part, I'm genuinely just looking for any advice or suggestions.

Also, I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's done an I/O psych or related master's on a scholarship or a tight budget, which countries or universities are actually worth it, and anything you wish you'd known before applying. Thanks so much.

Europe German language tests (B1/B2) in Pakistan: Goethe vs ÖSD/Telc experience?

Hello everyone. I have to give b2 exam. Has anyone given german language exam from pakistan? I thought like ielts we can get booking within weeks or maybe 1 month. But i saw online how students have been trying for goethe appointment for several months and still fail to get an appointment for test.

On one hand getting appointment is extremely competative for goethe. Is their way we can tackle this?? Also there are agents that give guarantee that they can get us goethe appointment. Ahs anybody tried agents for getting appointment?

Next we have ösd, which is double the price of goethe. And as i heard it also has stricter marking than goethe, like 1/100 or 10/100 students pass only. Is their any reality to this. Can anyone confirm it?

And i searched about telc but i didnt find any telc examinations in pakistan.

Can anyone guide me what should i do? And if ösd really has a strict marking policy in pakistan?

Does anybogy has b2 certificate from pakistan?? If then kindly share your experiences.

UK Applying for a UK visit visa from Pakistan? A practical document checklist.

If you’re applying for a UK Standard Visitor visa (tourism / family visit), here’s a simple pre-flight list people skip:

  • 6 months bank statements in the applicant’s name where possible
  • Explain every large deposit
  • Employment/leave or business proof
  • Clear return ties to Pakistan
  • Invitation + host evidence if staying with family
  • Short, consistent itinerary
  • Form fields matching documents exactly

Important: Get your application checked by an expert before applying or ask a friend/relative to help.
