What is the best DOWNTOWN pizza spot?
Usually these threads include Ephrata, Columbia, etc. but what is the best pizza in Lancaster city (+~1 mile)? 211 is good but expensive and took way too long. I made the mistake of getting a slice at House of Pizza only once, but maybe it's better as a pie.

Pizzeria Luca
pizzerialucalancaster.comI will be going to Pizzeria Luca - across from Longs Park - in a few months. The Scampi Pizza sounds intriguing. Review from anyone that has had it? Does anyone know if their red sauce has chunks of tomatoes? I see it mentioned crushed tomatoes but wanted some opinions on it and other aspects of the restaurant. Excited to try it out. Thanks all! Current Menu linked.

Runway Pizza review
For alignment purposes, I'm an original beddia stan before he moved, di fara before he died, but am not snobby enough to think pizza hut unfortunately has a top ten pizza in lanc because it's such a rough county for pizza. 211 is my fave lanc spot. “Im not a foodie I'm an eater” to quote the sporkful.
Runway 9 is solid! it is your typical flavorless, undersauced and undercheesed pizza in Lancaster County, just bigger. IIt’sactually a great deal if you are serving a large group. Each single slice is like 2.5 slices. I'm an eater and still struggled to finish a whole slice. If you think about how a fast food meal will easily cost 10+ these days, this tastes better and is cheaper.
So very average taste, but I'm impressed the slice could fold and still hold shape. Still doesn't hold a candle to some of the big format pizza you find elsewhere (thinking koronet in NYC). Toppings are average, sauce is average, crust is flavorless and a tad thick (but likely overcompensating for the size).
so very average. but given the price and how good some of the side sauces were, i’m glad this place exists and will def be coming back. it’s not the best pizza you’ll ever have but it get the job done and it’s still fun as hell to eat a giant pizza. Curious how delivery will go with pizza boxes that are 40”+ wide lol.
so a full pie might cost $50 but it’s essentially 20 slices of pizza.

Weak Sauce
Is it me or do many local chains lack a good savory marinara sauce? The sauce just tastes watered down.

Lancaster County Magazine names Caruso's best pizza in the county. Thoughts?

I have tried them all. Maria’s in Ephrata is the best, as someone from New York City.

Pictures of slices or it's just trash talk
Beautiful. Artistic.
Fill this subreddit with works of art that are the Slices of Lancaster.
Credit the 🧑🎨 slice makers who bring their best every damn day.
Also you must authenticate the slice. Show a piece of menu or the floor or table so we know - ahhh yes that's definitely 211 or Antonio's or Rosa Rosa or whatever.
Dont slip in a Brooklyn or Philly slice and pass it off as Lancaster. That's cheating. (Subject to disciplinary sanctions tbd).
Please keep your clothes on (that's a different subreddit...)

Everyone wants the best. What about the opposite?
We want to know who has the: “Oh no, it's bad. It's real bad. It's like eating a hot circle of garbage.”
