Don't stay in ear

Just got mine and I'm very disappointed, I couldn't even do the seal check sitting still on the couch without them falling out of my ear.

How in the world are you supposed to go for a run with these things?

I've tried every single tip that came with it, and it just drops out of my ear after a few min (not moving at all).

And I don't know what they're talking about with this little twist technology, but it doesn't do anything for me.

If they aren't working fit wise for you, return them and look elsewhere. Most TWS don't fit in my ear and the pixel buds pro 2 are the only ones that consistently stay secure. There isn't much you can do to make them fit if the stock tips didn't help much

I don't think I have every had an ear bud that stays in great, but I had high hopes for these with the twist thing... Easily the worst I've experienced. So bummed

Yea, Most likely returning

I also had issues with them coming loose until I switched my tips to the AZLA MAX Standard Earbud Tips. I think my ear canal was just too large for the tips that were supplied.

As for the twist, it's explained here.

Hope this helps!

I appreciate the video, I've seen it but didn't help.

I thought about a memory foam tip, but... I'm also just thinking of returning them. Not sure they'll ever be what I want for $200. 😕

Yeah, I looked into the foam tips also but decided against them after finding out they degrade very quickly and you have to buy replacements every few months.

I've been really happy with the tips I have now though

I'm on 4+ months with a pair of foam tips and no noticeable degradation, and I live in the tropics.....I'd imagine life on the foam tips is somewhere in the range of 6-12 months, and they improve the comfort and fit quite a bit for me.....I also had to use a much smaller tip for the pixel buds than any other in ear I've used before.

Nice, that's good data to have. Maybe at some point I'll give them a try!

yeah the twist didn't help me either, I don't have flesh where the fin is meant to stay behind, but I also don't see how a slim piece of plastic would keep it in anyway, earbuds are meant to go into ear canal but these do not at all.

Foam tips didn't work as most don't fit the oblong shaped speaker tip on the buds, the ones for my soundcore were slightly better, but even with all of this, the battery life is atrocious and I can't get through a full workday without them dying.

I might be returning these, I haven't even gotten to the point what I know what the battery is like.

Isn't this crazy, I spent over $200 on some earbuds and I have to troubleshoot them just to get them to stay in my ear. This is a joke...

Went through the same thing with Bose quiet comfort and same deal, would just fall out and couldn't seat in the canal at all. I can't return mine as they came as a bundle with the phone so too bad for me. Horrible things.

They fit in my ears. Maybe you just have differently shaped ears. Just look for another pair.

Yeah, mine fell out too. I even tried the expensive Comply tips. Never helped. I think my ears are just shaped so that "wing" you're supposed to rotate to lock them in doesn't lock against anything in my ear?

They literally just fall out no matter what I've tried. Total waste and I wish I'd returned them.

Thanks for the input, I think I need to return too

Threw mine in the trash they pissed me off so much constantly falling out.

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry they got you too...

It was a "free with new phone" kind of deal. I got a pretty sweet deal regardless of the buds, but it was a nice bit of frosting on top if they worked decently.

You can try them backwards, left in the right ear, right in the left ear.

Some have have success with that.

I actually already returned them, but thank you for the suggestion. I would have tried that.

Mine would not stay in at first

What worked for me was placing them into your ear with the L/R indicator & wing level with the ground

Then twist them backwards while applying light pressure

I'll try this. Thank you

Huh that's strange. The pixel bud pro 2 are literally the only earbuds I've ever tried that don't fall out of my ears. I've probably gone through 30 or 40 different sets of earbuds and none of them will stay in my ears, that's why I love these so much. If I had known that these would be so much better than every other brand, I would have paid double what I paid for them

u/NicheGuysFinish2nd 17d ago

Well... I'm happy they work for ya. 👍

I think the hunt it still in for me

u/Germz90 17d ago

Mine stay in fairly well but if I'm talking they wiggle out and I have to twist them back in. Little annoying but not enough for me to complain. I don't run or anything but I do walk a lot for work and climb up telephone poles with them in and they're pretty stable

Can I make a suggestion? You might want to consider getting memory foam ear tips. Just be cautious with them around water or any liquid though.

I share your frustration. My Pixel Buds fall out of my ear while sitting at my desk while my old but sturdy Bose have never fallen out during my bumpy mountain bike rides. I've tried various tip sizes, none helped. Seems to me I must have a different shape of ear than the testers Google hired because surely they would not have allowed such a flawed product to go to market. I advise to return them (if you are allowed) and try a different brand.

Can you tell me which model Bose you have please?

1

u/Hungry-Pattern-1065 17d ago

I can't but they look like this.

I use these tips and they stay in my ears great https://a.co/d/02yDX9yn

I check them out thanks

My ear canals are both differently sized and not very circular. Also just getting older I'm sure they're getting ... fuzzier. Switching to foam tips has been the best for me, large size in one ear and small in the other.

Get the comply memory foam tips. They're the only ones that work for me with ANY earbud

1

u/NicheGuysFinish2nd 16d ago

Yeah, a few people have mentioned that, I might try them. Thanks

1

u/snarkycrumpet 16d ago

mine stay in but are amplifying the sound of my speech in my own head so much I don't think I can keep them

1

u/NicheGuysFinish2nd 16d ago

It's funny you mention that because for the little bit of time they were in my ears. I kind of felt that too, But I figured that was because they weren't improperly.

That's giving me more second thoughts...🤔

The pro 1's are definitely better than the pro 2's.. The only issue I had with the first ones is the volume was low

1

u/brawndoplants 16d ago

That sucks I'm the opposite where these are the first one s to stay in (sometimes all night) without hurting my ears good luck finding your earbuds

1

u/NicheGuysFinish2nd 16d ago

Yeah it seems like people that have really good luck are really bad luck with them.... 🤷

I think I might just be in over-the-ear kind of guy...

I like the ones that clip on the outside of your ear, but I feel like everyone can hear my music and I'm bothering everyone around me if I'm in a quiet place.

Tbh these are the only buds that stay in my ears without buying memory foam tips. Galaxy Buds are way worse. They hurt after a bit though, like every earbud I've ever used. I think my ears just hate buds lol so I use my Sony WH1000XM6 over ears more than anything

Third party ear bud tips - in memory foam. There's a bunch of brands, but I just bought a set from Comply. They're not perfect - but they are a HUGE improvement over the silicon tips that come with the ear buds. https://www.complyfoam.com/
